I have no clue why I'm listening to Synchronicity. But man, I really don't like the Police. I'll give this about 3 more songs to get better before I give up on it completely.

I've never listened to that all the way through, but it's got my favorites on it

Synchronicity I and Walking In Your Footsteps annoyed the shit out of me. O My God was pretty good. Mother is obvious filler. That's as far as I've gotten.

The only Police album I really find enjoyable on any level is Regatta de Blanc. The rest may have one or two good songs but otherwise bore me.

I still don't know what the sound is that they're going for. It's just one pointless world music-inspired experiment after another, buried in shitty 80's production values.

Synchronicity II is way better than the first one, though it definitely bugs me that the two songs have nothing to do with one another.

The Police loved to sell out in the middle of their albums. Every Breath You Take barely sounds like the same band, and feels as out-of-place as Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic did on Ghost In The Machine. Both songs are pretty decent though.

Try waking up and making breakfast and having Sting's lute music as the SBS soundtrack with the test pattern while you wait for the cycling updates. NO way to start the day....

(sorry I disappeared so abruptly from the thread last night, I had a strange email that needed dealing with....)

BEING LEGALLY BLIND IS THE BEST THING EVER.

I just called the Palace Theatre to confirm they won't have issues with my cane at the Opeth gig tonight. End result? I'm to come to the venue just before doors open, go straight to the front of the queue, talk to security, and they'll accommodate me and do their best to get me up the front. Fucking WIN.

Hey BEG!

That sounds like it would be enough to put you off your breakfast ...

Get yourself a cane and you're sweet. Tip: If anybody is ever suspicious that you can see more than they think you should be able to, just use the line "low vision does not mean no vision".

I'm not joking when I say legal blindness is one of the best things that's ever happened to me.

Traviud, that is quite the list.

I just scanned the rateyourmusic top 2,000 and picked out what I thought I would be interested in. With the help of Google Blog Search and used CDs on amazon, I may complete the list by year's end.

I'm over having to line up for anything. This could be gold for any future U2 stadium shows! Or the supermarket.....

 It'll be interesting to see how it goes tonight, and if other venues are quite so generous. I was stunned. All I wanted to know was whether security would let me bring the cane into the GA area without having any issues, and next thing I'm being told to go to the front of the queue just before doors!

Well, now I can kick back and not leave so early.
