 I saw it twice in a week in the theater just a few weeks ago, and I"m already thinking I need to pick this puppy up!

DVD! *imagining being able to pause certain Daniel Craig moments*

/mind in gutter

*ahem*

I'll have this one from Netflix for the weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. I figured there would be a wait for it, but then again, Netflix probably ordered a zillion copies of it!

I love Chris Cornell's intro music for Royale, as well as the general brassy musical cue they used for this Bond outing. Like the driving along the tropical road in the rental car music.

Good shit.

I totally didn't think I'd like it, I was a huge fan of Pierce as Bond and didn't even know who Daniel Craig was before he became Bond.

So, watched the movie w/my hubby the other night. I'm in love. Seriously. I've watched it 3 times since then. I'm preoccupied with Daniel Craig. Awesome movie, love the grittier, less suave and perfect Bond, and  Sweet Jesus, the man's arms.

I finished watching this earlier tonight. I expected I'd be mildly entertained by it, but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The tension and action are developed really well, and I thought the screenplay did a great job of developing an old, familiar character in a new way. There's also so much packed into that movie--every time I thought it was going to be over, there was another twist.

And Daniel Craig :combust: More please

 that's one thing I really liked about it, too, it had about 4 twists at the end when I thought it was almost over and then something else happened. Love that!

Solid Bond outing, and the final scene made me come in my pants the first time I saw it.

Okay well not really, but figuratively, from a dialogue standpoint.

I liked it.

Although I preferred the ones with Pierce Brosnan.

I somehow think they abused a little when showing Daniel Craig's pecs... or I just might be jealous :)

But a good transition to a "more human" Bond...

There's a rerun of all the Bond movies on our local TV station and re-watching Brosnan I preferred him as Bond.

Craig is the better actor and possibly the best from all of them in action packed scenes and added some depth in the character - but I'm curious how he will do once the accent is off his muscles and fight scenes and Q and the gadgets come back. Then it wil be easier to compare him with the others, because Casino Royale was just so different from the Bond franchise movies.

I will say that Pierce lacked a definitive villain (S. Connery had Blofeld, R. Moore had that guy with the iron in his teech, plus actors such as C. Lee or Christopher Walken playing the baddies) and good scenarios.

I'm going to make my mom watch it this weekend. She generally hates Bond movies but has heard so much buzz about this one she's become curious. I can't wait to see her reaction to it.

Ahhhhhhhhh I still get goosebumps when I start watching it even on DVD...it's so awesome!!!!!1

didn't seem like there were a lot of bonus features when we watched the other night, that was a bummer

Well, it comes on two different DVDs. The second one is packed but Netflix only mails you the first one...

Just watched the movie tonight. Awesome. Might be my favorite one. Was great to see Bond learning on the job.

Can't wait for the next one. I hope they keep it a little more rugged, as Craig would seem to fit that role better than a more polished Bond.

I too watched this movie for the first time tonight, and I must say, I plan on watching it again tomorrow. And I will tape it when it comes on TV and keep it forever, because, quite frankly, this film is as good as Bond gets.

Daniel Craig is like Rambo in a tuxedo, but regardless, he's so cool. Not the sharpest knife in the cupboard, but I'm pretty sure that was the point.

Eva Green is teh sex. I would have drooled all over myself if my mother wouldn't have been present  (she really liked the film as well BTW, and she doesn't even like Bond!)

The cinematography was breathtaking. I loved the exotic locales, and the artsy (perhaps a bit too artsy) cut-scenes such as the part where he was poisoned.

The plot was anything but ordinary and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

Outside of a view ridiculously destructive moments that felt rushed and claustrophobic, it was very, very good.

8.5/10
