Captain Beefheart

Anybody into this guy? Wow, I just discovered some of his music on You Tube and was blown away. WAY ahead of his time.
Any recommendations of what music to start with?

I actually read a Bono interview with him I guess a few years ago. Seemed like Captain Beefheart got a kick out of Bono giving his glasses to the pope.

Trout Mask Replica scares me. I made it 5 songs in and never played it again.

I have to admit that Trout Mask Replica scares me too. I was able to make it though the whole thing once but it took everything to make me not turn it off.

i have a vast amount of random songs of his, and i persoanlly love it, he's definitely an acquired taste much like tom waits
