I got in!

:dancing:

I missed the first part of the show, but I eventually made it. And how I got in is a most interesting story, but I am so tired right now. I'm going to have one long journal entry tomorrow! It was an amazing evening.

 i was actually thinking yesterday wondering if you got in.

we got stuck in bad traffic on the pike cos of an accident and combine that with the fact that my mom drives like a little old lady, i was really worried we weren't going to make it to boston, let alone the show. but we did

Ramrod (very cool)

so that's what was happening when everyone was clapping along? i couldn't hear what song it was. sometimes i think i'm going deaf.

OK, I was busy all day and haven't been online, and I do promise to talk about yesterday's show, but I wanted to pop on real quick and let the Boston crowd know that a torrent has already showed up!

Haven't heard it yet, so I don't know about the sound quality. I guess the taper was up in the balcony, but the Orpheum sounds good usually, so we'll see.

:D

oooooooooooooooooooh torrent.

fucker!!!! what's my account for that site :der: ???

yeah, that's the problem with that site for me, no new registrations right now

actually if anyone wants boots of the D & D tour go to livedaily.com and sign up on one of the trees. I got a couple this way already.
also saw the show fri in BOSS-TON. entertaining & it was nice to hear the songs a different way, but I still prefer Bruce with the band.

I didn't want to clog up this thread with an entry that goes on forever, but if anyone wishes to read about my experience at the Boston show this past Friday night, feel free to check out my journal.

I may have only seen 17 out of the 24 songs performed that night, but considering that I saw those 17 songs from the 8th row in dead center, I think I did OK.

:D

Glad you got in Phanan. Mrs. S and I noticed that the ticket scanners barely looked at wristbands so scalpers could have sold tickets successfully, but I'm glad you got in the way you did.
Great show. We saw Bruce's mom and Jon Landau entering from the Orpheum back alley before the show, but no Bruce of course, he was apprently already in before we got there.

I know that site, but sometimes it's scarier than even this place can be  The other Bruce sites can be even worse lol

I have no idea how "trees" work and I think you have to have a secret decoder ring or something :D

Bruce w/ ESB is the ultimate, but it was fantastic to see him alone too. I thought his voice was in top form, and the sound was good from where we were sitting. Plus the mellow audience, you could tell some people just had a hard time w/ sitting there and being quiet for 2 + hours, maybe that's why some left

Phanan, did you see Bruce's Mom where you were sitting? Did she cover her ears during Reno?

Quite honestly, I don't know what Bruce's mother looks like, so for all I know, I could have seen her without realizing it. I will say that Jon Landau appears to have put on some weight.

Because I was late getting in, I didn't even know that John Kerry was in there until we were all standing down there for the encores. The whole orchestra section remained standing and it was then that I noticed Kerry on the left side (Bruce's right). He is, after all, hard to miss with his height.

The audience was very well behaved. I thought because of that Bruce might throw out another bonus in the encores, but everything remained unchanged from the last few shows. No complaints, though. It was fantastic.

What time did you show up, Hewson and Mrs. S? I heard Bruce was already inside by 5pm.

I got there around 5:30, we got the tickets and then went to the back to try to see Bruce. Yes they said he got there around 5. If I could have gotten there earlier we might have been able to see him.

Bruce's Mom (we assumed it was her, she even looked like him) had a long black top on and long black skirt, hair dyed sort of blond  Nobody bothered her, I would never bother her. I just wondered because I saw her being escorted to her seat. I don't know where she ended up. Yes were were saying, pity the poor person sitting behind John Kerry.

i managed to download SOMETHING off the torrent phanan posted...if i ever boot up my computer (i'm at home, i'm not on MY computer, i'm using my family's computer) i will be able to check if it actually worked

The sound quality from the Boston show that showed up wasn't as good as some of the others, like Oakland. Hopefully a better version will surface.

For now, though, it's a nice reminder of how the concert was.

Apparently the song "Dream Baby Dream" that Bruce has been ending his shows with is a favorite of U2 as well. There was another thread regarding the new issue of Mojo magazine with U2 on the cover. It comes with a CD that was compiled by U2, and lo and behold, Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream" is on there.

I'm gonna have to get this and check it out. I mean, if both Bruce and U2 like it, it's gotta be worth something, right?

:)

Yeah, yeah. I know. I keep going back to this thread.

The tour has more dates now in the U.S., so I thought I'd pass them on here. If you like Springsteen and haven't seen him on this tour, and he's coming to a place near you, I definitely recommend trying to go!

And I promise I'll stop now. ;)

I'd see him if that song 'Reno' wasn't so damn dirty.

So beautifully, arousingly dirty...

That's right - I've resurrected this thread once again.

Springsteen just finished the second U.S. leg, and what an unbelievable tour this is turning out to be. He's played so many songs that he hadn't done in so long (or in some cases, never). The Boston show I went to was awesome, but I've been listening to a few other ones, and they've been blowing it away, if you ask me.

The show that most people are saying is one of the best, if not THE best, of the entire tour so far is Columbus. There were three tour debuts that night, plus some other songs only done once or twice ever. Not only that, but the show is available, and it just might be the best sounding one as well. Incredible.

So I thought I'd share a song with everyone so they could experience it for themselves. Just my way of being nice. The link below is for his performance of Valentine's Day (the final cut from the Tunnel Of Love album) at Columbus, the third time ever the song has been played. Enjoy.

He's supposedly coming back to the Northeast in the fall. I'll definitely be going again. :hyper:

Gorgeous! Thank you.

Where can I download the whole show?

If you know about torrents, you can get it at www.dimeadozen.org.

I do know about torrents and have download from this site before, I just couldn't remember the address. This show sounds a hundred times better (in quality) than the Denver show that I saw and downloaded. Thanks.
