I swear, I was right there on Ticketmaster when it "supposedly" went on sale, but no, sorry, they're all gone already. You don't say. It would have been something to see Bruce that Friday night and then U2 the next week. I guess I'll settle for just U2. ![]() |

Saw Bruce in Dallas on Thursday night and it was incredible. Didn't see him on Tom Joad tour, so I wasn't sure how the acoustic show would be. Acoustics at the venue were great and it was just Bruce on guitar, harmonica and piano telling stories and singing his songs - there were 6000 other people there, but still felt intimate. New songs sounded great - Maria's Bed got the best response - he said "this song really needs the band" and did a great job. Jesus was an Only Song (on piano) was poignant and the Hitter was just mesmerizing - could have heard a pin drop listening to that one. Also some songs from the Rising and loved Two Faces (again on Piano) from Tunnel of Love, oh, and For You. It's another side of Bruce and made me appreciate again what an amazing musician and songwriter he is.

I followed the house rules and so can't offer any goodies from the show but here's the Dallas setlist. GO SEE this tour. It's incredible. He's the real deal--a beautiful man...incredible musicianship shines through. I was 30 rows back, dead on center.

I love Two Faces, and I hope it's a sign that he'll go deeper into the Tunnel Of Love album on this tour. The angst-filled lyrics in some of those songs, like Two Faces, are incredible.
"At night I get down on my knees and pray Our love will make that other man go away But he'll never say goodbye Two faces have I" |

Oh My Lord.
That was an amazing evening. I don't think I can express just how incredible that concert was. I feel lucky to have been able to experience it. I'm quite tired right now, and a bit inarticulate, but it was the best Springsteen concert I've ever seen. Now, if only someone will b&p me one of these shows. ![]() |

![]() I haven't seen the show online yet, but if it pops up, I'll let you know. EDIT: I just saw the set list. Oh man. 27 songs. And he played a song, Cautious Man, that had only been played once before, ever. And Incident On 57th St. must have been something else. |

Now I'm really excited about Saturday. Strep throat has kept me away from the store so I haven't gotten the new record yet--how do you like it, martha?
edit: never mind, just read the new album thread |

Oh my God, what an incredible show! I went to this show with absolutely no expectations, no research like I usually do, I was just wide open to the experience, and had my puny little mind blown. I fell in love with him all over again.

How does he do it? He looks a lot younger than Bono, and I've now seen them both very close up within the last 2 weeks. I like when he told us that if he heard any cell phones he would make his way through the audience with a chainsaw. ![]() Okay, I'm off to shop in Denver now, la la la.. ![]() |
