don't think there's a live feed of it on the internet. Should be up on youtube hopefully by tomorrow. I remember seeing a list up somewhere of what channel and when various countries will be airing the Brits.

Can't wait to see Oasis receive their well deserved lifetime acheivement award and see their performance. I think they're playing about 5 songs or so...

Still can't believe Lilly Allen didn't win anything.

Russell brand presenting it was the worst idea ever. I thought he was rubbish :slant:

I thought he was alright:wink:

I'm surprised Ms Allen didn't win anything as well...Orson winning:madspit:

None of the performances were really that great either, The Killers were good as were Oasis at the end but nobody that was really brilliant ah well.

OASIS WERE SHIT and liam has gone back to thinking he is john lennon.

They only got the lifetime achievement award because they threatned to boycott the event because they wasnt nominated for best album last year.

Joss stone thought she was funny and whats with the american accent she was putting on ?

That really made me cringe. She must have been spending some time with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Russell Brand was already but he looked shit nervous at the beginning.

She's been living in LA I think for the past few years, she has had the accent for a while.

I think that as far as overhyped, overexposed first albums go, Arctic Monkeys' has got nothing on Is This It or Franz Ferdinand. The guy is a great lyricist though and they have potential, I just hope it doesn't get crippled by all this early praise and hype.

I loooove Amy Winehouse, can't wait for her next album to be released here in Australia.

Yeah I think they have potencial too... But in my opinion the press is putting them too high already. They only have one album right? I don't know that much about them. I have the album and I'd like to see them live, but I don't think they're that great yet...

I don't think Orson deserved anything, and Lily Allen more than deserved something. Didn't she have the most nominations?

I was going to bitch about the Brits in my journal but I'll vent my spleen here instead.

FIRSTLY what was up with the sound breaks? "Because of bad language"?!! I don't think so! It was cutting out during guitar solos, when Fearne Cotton was speaking (and I think she might just be relied upon to not launch into a four letter tirade) and best of all when Liam Gallagher had the microphone in his hand (and come on Liam uses swear words like people use air) they don't block out any of the swearing preferring instead to wait 60 seconds till Noel starts speaking and THEN cut the sound even though it didn't seem to me like he swore. And why bother cutting out the bad language anyway? OK before 9 I can understand but as soon as it got post watershed why bother? I mean the instant it hits 9.01pm British dramas tend to full of drugs, sex and bad language but God forbid that we might hear someone who isn't an actor saying f**k!

SECONDLY, nothing happened. Russell had been getting at Noel all night but when it came to collecting the award Noel seemed fine with him. Russell was banging on about Liam's sexual allure (again) and I thought this has got to get a reaction. And it did! Liam hugs him and says "You alright mate?". Amy Winehouse didn't do anything controversial either. Where's Jarvis Cocker when you need him?!

THIRDLY, The only reason that I bothered to watch- Oasis. Now I'd just about gotten over the shock of Liam deciding to have his hair in the style of Worzel Gummidge when they started to perform. Liam's voice wasn't at its best but I've heard him far worse but what really peed me off was that just as Liam's voice started to warm up and sound a little bit less like someone perpetually bringing up phlegm the credits roll and the show ends. Unless you have ITV 2 (I don't) where you can watch the rest of Oasis's set (I can't). I was so annoyed especially as I knew Noel was going to sing the next song. Why couldn't they just do what they did every other year and keep going till 10.30??? :grumpy:

And I agree with you pgv. I wouldn't have awarded Orson anything either.

The sound cutting out was a technical problem, they admitted so...I got to see the rest of Oasis' set:wink:

I think it has been one of the dullest Brits in ages, there wasn't any one performance that stood out.

RHCP were good, also there is a 15 sec delay from the live broadcast, they do something similair to BB. Thats why some speech was filtered.

...good for you

 And did Liam's voice get any better?

BTW, I've just been reading some stuff about the Brits. Apparently one year KLF were performing live and fired a machinegun into the crowd (it was loaded with blanks...just thought I'd make that clear ;) ) . Somehow all the other eventful Brits just pale in comparison to that!

i thought oasis were really bad , didnt think much of their set eaither.

Yay to The Killers, Muse and Amy Winehouse
Didn't really think much of the rest.

Joss Stone was about the most controversal thing that happened...what was she nattering on about roaming around the stage :eyebrow:

Yeah i think joss was pissed  russel brand probably escorted her home like the gentlemen he is lol

Scissor Sisters were alright but I Don't Feel Like Dancing isn't the most spectacular opener in the world:shrug:
