Best songs for autumn

Since I'm feeling kind of melancholy, I was wondering what songs most strongly evoke autumn for you? I'm starting off with Ben Folds Five's "Don't Change Your Plans," but that's all I have right now.

Green Day's not bad at all, no . I like what I've heard from them. And I agree with quite a few of the mentions here already.

Other stuff...umm...well, the Finn Brothers' Everyone Is Here works pretty well for fall, namely songs like "Disembodied Voices" (kinda fits for a late night listen), "Edible Flowers", or "All The Colours" (fits with the fall colors thing, after all!).

That's all I can think of right off the top of my head right now...*Goes off on CD search*.

Fiona Apple - Pale September

Also, Fiona's version of Sally's Song from the re-done Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. It's from a Halloween movie so I think that qualifies.

Plus the song just has a certain chill to it. I think anyone who enjoyed the film will enjoy this cover.

Your mention of Nightmare Before Christmas reminds me-never hurts to check out stuff Danny Elfman's done, be it with Oingo Boingo or from his movie scoring career. He just seems to fit this time of year like a glove . As for specific songs related to him, let me get back to you on that.
