For about the last year I have been using Kazaa Lite Resurection, however lately I am finding that it dosnt have a lot of the songs that I am after (and they are not that obscure) and that many of the songs that I want to download end up being 'remotely queued' or they get halfway through downloading and never get finished, I am just getting sick of it. So what other good programs are there out there. I would like one that is easy to use, is free, has no spyware and has a great selection of songs- does such a thing exist?????

It opens up your computer to other people Beli. You install the program and when you're connected, the folder you allow people to share from, can then be accessed by anyone. So if someone is looking for the best of Barry Manilow and you have it, they can copy it off you.

I love soulseek better than winmx. No viruses, no ads and no cost. I've almost always found what I'm looking for, it's relatively quick and easy to use. I still cannot access some people's folders but I think it is some kind of firewall issue.

slsknet.org? Soulseek is free. You can donate if you want but you don't have to.

I pretty much only use soulseek. I flip on kazaa lite every once in a while, but I seem to never find anything other than extremely mainstream things.

hey I just looked at the site and its NOT FREE, I have to pay the cost of an international phone call- whats that all about????

i think that's the old soulseek domain name. that happened to me the first time i tried to download it. it's some sort of bizarro pay-per-porn site now. make sure you're going to slsknet.org, like alia612 mentioned.

I am liking the fact that I am finding most of the songs that I want with Soulseek, however nearly everything comes up in grey, instead of black, so this is shitting me- everything get remotely queued......anyway is there a way to get around this, like get better access?????

You can donate and get queue priviliges.

However most times I just find a user with moderate upload speed and medium queue, and just hit "download" and wait -- 10 minutes max is usually how long it takes before people give up and I get to download.

the reason I never got soulseek really to work was that i didn't know anyone on the user list...can we resuureect that thread with user names? or list ours here?

*needs music to live*

I just signed up for this, too-only my problem is that I'll go to download a song, and it'll say I haven't created this file folder or something along that line yet, and then my computer freezes up. So I'm a little confused about how to create this folder that they're talking about.
