Rules: Vote for your LEAST favorite song. This poll will be open for 24 hours, at which point the song with the most votes will be eliminated from the competition and the next round will be started. This process will continue until only one song remains in the 'Please Please Me' draw, and we move on to the next LP. And so on and so forth.

In the event of a tie, the tied songs will be eliminated together, UNLESS it is a tie between the final two songs in any draw, in which case the voting time will be extended.

Once again, if any of you don't have access to this LP and would like to hear the songs you don't know, tell me in this thread and I will link you up via PM to a zip file containing the whole album.

Let's up the voting for people - the more participation, the better!

I have been abstaining from participation, as Revolver is not one of my favorite Beatles albums and I do not know many of the songs very well. Now, however, I feel as though I can cast a relatively informed vote.
Here, There, and Everywhere for me.

how do you guys vote for Here, There, and Everywhere?!?!?! thats like my favorite Beatles song

i voted for For No One...again, just because its the only one i dont know and the rest i like.

it's not a bad song, just the weakest of the rest for me.

Man  The Beatles discography is so goddam confusing. There's like three debut albums: Please Please Me, Meet the Beatles and With the Beatles, plus like 5 albums that were released here, but not there....:argh:

Can someone point me in the direction of a GOOD Beatles discography page? Not wikipedia? Is there a U2wanderer type site for the Beatles?

Is Sgt. Peppers next? Apart from White 1 it's all I have...

There are two Beatles discographies - the UK discography and the US discography. Essentially, the UK discography is the records the way the Beatles intended them. What you have to remember is that in the 60s, 'albums' were a new thing, and singles were the norm, so the Beatles albums that were being released in the UK weren't released in the US. So, what happened was, Capital Records(the Beatles' label in America at the time) essentially picked and chose Beatles songs from the UK albums AND Beatles songs that were stand-alone singles and made their own Beatles albums. Some somewhat resemble their UK counterparts, but most look nothing like their UK counterparts. Starting with Sgt. Pepper, the discographies are nearly identical, except that the US disco has the Hey Jude album at the end. As for the stand-alone singles that were used on the US albums that were never on the UK albums, there are two 'Past Masters' compilations that were released in the 80s that now usually compliment the UK discography.

It's an interesting thing because there are SO many people in the US my parents' age that grew up with the US Beatles records and as such, were always upset that the US records were never released on CD(until a few years ago). These are the records they want, because that's what they grew up listening to and what they're used to, and it's interesting that a whole, VERY large portion of older Beatles fans are attatched for life to a set of albums different to the set the Beatles intended.

So....

UK Discography:

Please Please Me
With The Beatles
A Hard Day's Night
Beatles For Sale
Help!
Rubber Soul
Revolver
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Magical Mystery Tour(Was originally an EP centered around songs that didn't make it onto Sgt. Pepper's and/or that had been stand-alone singles in the Sgt. Pepper time period)
The Beatles AKA The White Album
Abbey Road
Let It Be(but Abbey Road was the last to be recorded)
Past Masters 1
Past Masters 2

US Discography:

Introducing The Beatles
Meet The Beatles
The Beatles' Second Album
A Hard Day's Night(different tracklisting than UK version)
Something New
Beatles' 65
Beatles VI
Help!
Rubber Soul(different tracklisting than UK version)
Yesterday...And Today
Revolver(different tracklisting than UK version)
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Magical Mystery Tour
The Beatles AKA The White Album
Abbey Road
Hey Jude
Let It Be
