I explained that my mother passed away, and that I wanted to cancel her service. Their first question was “why are you cancelling?” I had to repeat: because she was dead. Again, not a hint of sympathy. The next question from them was “would you like to keep the account?” I said “What is it about dead you don’t understand?” They said, well maybe you want to use her screen name. I asked “is that so I can scare people who think she’s departed?”

I've just left AOL. Cancelling the account was the easy bit...getting them to stop taking money from my bank account has proven more difficult. AOFuckingHell

I like their free trial discs......I pickup them up for the passwords........highly collectible items for trinket hunters such as myself........
