Loose Ends: Ramones Tribute Now Due In February

Although we originally reported that the Ramones tribute, We're A Happy Family, would be released on Christmas Eve this year, the star-studded compilation's release date has been pushed back. Punk rock fans can now look forward to the album's release on February 11, 2003.
As previously mentioned, the compilation will include 15 Ramones covers (and a limited edition bonus track) performed with love and admiration by a wide variety of bands that claim to have been influenced by the Queens punk legends. There'll be something for everybody on this one ? KISS, U2, Tom Waits, Eddie Vedder, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Pretenders, Green Day and many more all weigh in with their tribs. The album will also act as a benefit for the Lymphoma Research Foundation in New York City. The Ramones' lead singer, Joey Ramone, died of lymphoma in 2001.
