U2 are shortlisted in the annual Q Magazine Awards, just announced.
The band can't be nominated in most categories as they didn't release a new single or album in the qualifying period - but they are nominated for 'Best Act In The World Today'.
The competition is tough - the band are up against Coldplay, Oasis, Radiohead and the Stereophonics.
