Bono's Talking Fables Again
ShowBiz Ireland -- Bono is never one to be far away from a charitable cause and this time the U2 frontman and his two daughters have taken to their brushes to illustrate Peter and the Wolf.
It is common knowledge that Bono is as talented as they come with a microphone in his hand but it turns out the rocker isn't too bad with a paintbrush either!
Bono and his two daughters Jordan and Eve have joined up with Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer to bring Sergei Prokofiev's 1936 classic fable Peter and the Wolf to a whole new generation.
According to their site www.PeterWolf.org: "Having adapted the theme to use such instruments as the accordion, the banjo and the mandolin, Gavin and Maurice produced a clever and humorous take on the much-loved original, which is presented as an enhanced CD with a 64-page cloth-bound book illustrated by Bono, with help from his daughters Jordan and Eve."
Now there is a huge opportunity for devoted U2 fans to get their hands on a piece of original Bono artwork as his illustrations for the book will go up for auction by Christie's.
Bono and his daughter's arkworks will be on display in Dublin's City Hall until October 3rd, all proceeds go to the Irish Hospice Foundation. The artwork will also be displayed in London, Los Angeles and New York.
