ON THE TOWN: Rarely does Oprah Winfrey go out for dinner with guests on her show, but after hearing U2's Bono speak with such articulate passion about Africa at Tuesday's taping, the talk show queen did just that.
But not without a bit of convincing.
Already home and headed to bed, Oprah got a call from Kennedy family honcho Bobby Shriver--who attended the taping of Friday's show and is deeply involved with Bono's African mission. Oprah first said no to the late dinner invite, but a bit of classic Shriver teasing (''If you don't go, we'll just show up on your doorstep!'') led her to Rosebud on Rush--for a meal much beyond Oprah's usual bedtime. ... Besides Rosebud, Bono also graced NoMi twice this week--where he was spied both in the eatery's lounge and outdoor garden.
Thank you, Screaming Flower!
