Propaganda Comes Out

U2?s official magazine, Propaganda, for twenty years available to fan club members only, is going public.

A lavish new book, ?U2: the Best of Propaganda?, features rare interviews, articles written by friends of the band, self-penned features, tour diaries and unseen photography by the likes of Anton Corbijn.

Newer fans of the band may not realise that U2 have published their own magazine for the best part of 20 years and, if its appearance was sporadic and unpredictable, it was always warmly received because it offered an intimate peek inside the world of U2 in the pre-internet era.

The new book, published next month, brings together the best moments from the history of Propaganda and is introduced with a foreword by Adam, Larry, Edge, Bono and manager Paul McGuinness. More news as we get it.

?U2: The Best of Propaganda? is published by Carlton Books in the UK on October 2nd.

We'll get it here too. I think it will be coming out in the States a few weeks after the UK edition. I think this is a great idea for a book, newer fans will get some insight and info they have not seen in the mainstream media.

I had pre-ordered the book from amazon.com awhile ago, but I got the following email from them yesterday:

"Greetings from Amazon.com.

We are sorry to report that we will not be able to obtain the following
item from your order:

Ian Gittins "U2's Propaganda"

Though we had expected to be able to send this item to you, we've
since found that it is not available from any of our sources at this
time. We realize this is disappointing news to hear, and we apologize
for the inconvenience we have caused you.

We have cancelled this item from your order."

 :banghead:

Did anyone in the U.S. else who pre-ordered the book get this message?
