U2 GO ELECTRIC
U2 have confirmed details of a new single called 'Electrical Storm', which is to be released in October.
The Irish rock heavyweights have long been rumoured to be on the verge of releasing new material, to accompany the new Greatest Hits collection.
'Electrical Storm' will feature on the collection of music from the period 1990 2000, which is released on DVD on November 4 and CD a week later.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on planet U2, drummer Larry Mullen has been selected to help judge the 'Shortlist Music Prize', the US version of the Mercury Music Prize.
He joins the likes of Alanis Morissette, Iggy Pop, Beck, Mos Def, India.Arie, Paul Oakenfold, The Neptunes, Jill Scott, Baz Luhrmann, The Strokes and Sonic Youth on the panel.
