A Musical Weekend in Ireland...
The Edge showed his support for inner city kids while Paul Weller, Van Morrison, Paul Simon, the Fun Lovin' Criminals and Meatloaf took to the stage over the weekend around Ireland.
The Edge 'Rocks On' with Kids
The concert of the summer was the Paul Simon concert in Kilkenny. Over 22,000 concert goers enjoyed the sunshine as Simon performed his first show in Ireland in nearly 15 years.
He was supported on the day by the legendary Irish singer Van Morrison as well as the New York band The Fun Lovin' Criminals, who spent the whole weekend in a variety of lap dancing clubs around Dublin.
Paul Weller, the former front man of The Jam and the Style Council appeared in Dublin's Marley Park and he was followed on stage the following day by the rock legend Meat Loaf who appeared in Marley Park the next night.
Meanwhile U2 guitarist The Edge made a surprise appearance for a number of inner city children during their music graduations in Dublin.
The Edge has just returned from his wedding in the South of France and made the appearance to support the young musicians.
