Bill Clinton has praised U2 star Bono, who he says has been instrumental in helping tackle the problems of the Third World.

Mr Clinton has been in Ireland and today signed an agreement with the Government which pledges Irish HIV and AIDS funding to be channeled through the William J Clinton Foundation.

Mr Clinton himself has been to the forefront of the fight against AIDS in the Third World.
