MT. UNION, PA - Michael W. Smith urges attendees of Creation Festival to 'pray for Bono.'
Creation Festival is the largest 4-day Christian music gathering concert in the United States, proudly featuring dozens of top-tier Christian entertainers such as Michael W. Smith, Kirk Franklin, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and Point of Grace.
During Smith's performance on Friday, July 28th, he urged the thousands of concert revelers to 'pray for Bono and his efforts' in the fight to relieve the debt Africa owes to the world's wealthiest nations. Bono contributed a 3-minute taped video also urging the attendees to reach out to 'our African brothers' by contacting our governments to voice our opinions and beliefs.
Smith finished his set by performing an impassioned cover of U2's "40."
