U2, No Doubt's Stefani, Aerosmith's Tyler & Others Set As Rock Hall Inductors
(2/14/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- The list of inductors for this year's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony has been announced.
The event, which takes place March 10 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City, will feature U2 inducting the Clash, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani representing the Police, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler doing the honors for AC/DC, Billy Joel speaking for the Righteous Brothers, and Elton John inducting Elvis Costello & the Attractions.
In addition, Neil Young and Paul Simon will stand up for former Warner Bros. Records head Mo Ostin in the nonperformer category, while Late Show With David Letterman bandleader Paul Shaffer will honor Motown drummer (and member of the Funk Brothers) Benny Benjamin, Nashville session pianist Floyd Cramer, and Los Angeles session saxophonist Steve Douglas in the sidemen category.
An edited version of the induction ceremony will air March 16 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.
