anyway, i won't be here from monday to friday, cos my bf and I are taking some holidays together....

The not seeing of smilies is probably one of two things: one, a slow computer will not load them (I have had this problem, when I refresh the page they show up sometimes) or something could be set in your preferences in 'edit options' on your user CP that says you don't want them to show up. I'm not sure what it's called but there is something like that, a mod can help. Good luck.
