Cool mags Bono=Saint! Thanks for the pics. I have a bunch but they're stashed in a box on my closet. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll scan some covers.

We had a very cool thread of mag covers, but that was a long time ago...

I collect U2/Bono covers, but I've made a point of restricting my efforts to magazines that have come out since I've been a fan (otherwise it would be WAY too expensive!). I'm not in my room, but I'll try and remember them:

Spin (2001?) - U2
NME all U2 issue thing (2002) - U2
George (1999?) - Bono
Christianity Today (2003) - Bono
TIME (2002?) - Bono
HIV Plus (2002?) - Bono
Paris Match (2003) - Bono
Irish America (2002?) - Bono

that's all I can remember right now. My favorite Bono covers are Christianity Today and HIV Plus.

Paris Match
Linear Notes (from RRHOF)
Time (European Heros)
Q Mag - Nov 2002
Spin Band of the year 2001
Uncut- Joshua Tree
NME's U2

I missed the Time mag with "Can Bono save the world?" on it

I have tons of Edge covers, a few of the recent Bono covers, and a lot of all U2. I'm way too lazy to type them all up! I love buying old U2 magazine's on Ebay!

I'm bored so I'll include a picture Ok I was acutally taking a picture of my Toad because he's cute! (from the Frog and Toad books!) Here's some of my magazines and all of my U2 books. I did get a few more books and magazines over the holidays but you get the idea.....

if you look in the bottom right corner that's me dressed up like Gene Simmons and my sister as Paul Stanley about 10 years ago at a Halloween party!

Here's my list. All of these magazines were bought on those dates. The only one that I got from a dealer was the DETAILS mag that I got at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the U2 Fan Celebration Day in June 2002. The mags from the 80's are mine that I got from a two year subscription of Rolling Stone during and after my senior year in high school. Since our yearbooks at school always sucked, I thought the better way to remember my senior year was to get that subscription. I saved them all. At the time I wasn't a huge fan of U2. I was just a casual one. I'm glad that I did what I did because they are like gold to me now!

DETAILS (November 2001) Bono

Music Connection (Jan. 20 Feb. 20, 2003) U2 Candid Interview

People (2003) VH1 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons

Q (November 2002) 10 Years of Turmoil Inside U2
Q (December 2002) The Best Tracks from the Best Albums
Q (2002) The 50 Most Powerful People in Music

Rolling Stone (October 8, 1987) Bono
Rolling Stone (Nov. 5 Dec 10, 1987) 20th Anniversary
Rolling Stone (December 17-31, 1987) Yearbook
Rolling Stone (March 10, 1988) U2 The Band that beat the Boss
Rolling Stone (March 9, 1989) U2 Band of the Year and Bono Voice of the Year
Rolling Stone (Dec. 27 Jan. 3, 2001) Yearbook
Rolling Stone (December 26, 2002) Yearbook
Rolling Stone (July 10, 2003) The 20 Greatest Live Bands

UNCUT (October 2003) U2 The Joshua Tree

Billboard MUSICIAN (1990) Decade in Music Trivia Calendar
*This last one was one of the latest treasures I found a few days ago in my old bedroom at my parent's house. It has a picture of them on one of the covers off of MUSICIAN for the month of January, charts listings for the 80's decade, and the birthdays of all four members!

I have so many mags, and the shelf is such a mess, that I'm way too embarrassed to take a pic of it and show it anywhere, even on a U2 list!! My first mag is from 1984. I *used* to have Rolling Stone's review of "War" from 1983 but I lost it years ago. I have some really cool stuff however. I wish I had a scanner.
