The Fly
thanks, wildhoney22 --
Okay, I may be the only one excited by this but let me barge ahead.
I was writing about UF earlier, and wh22's post made me think, "Holy cow! U2 are so haiku!" The spirit of it is all over UF, and probably the other albums if I look. So here's the challenge, if you're game: U2 Haiku! (I'll probably move this to Dream Out Loud. Eventually.
)
here's a link, for the "form" and the spirit of it:
Haiku for People: http://www.toyomasu.com/haiku/
Except I think we can substitute the traditional "seasonal" reference for an album, song, or band member reference. Heaven knows, they are "seasons" unto themselves, no?
Here's an example by the great classical master, Basho (it reminded me a lot of UF):
Sick on a journey:
Over parched fields
Dreams wander on.
And here's my first one:
Bad
Drumsticks on a snare
heart racing, sweat and sorrow
healing in his hands
*inspired & starry-eyed*
