here are mine:

1. Out of Control (recently rediscovered song after hearing U2 play it live)

2. Gloria

3. A Sort Of Homecoming

4. Bullet the Blue Sky

5. New York

*these are my top 5 that I like to listen to while I am commuting to and from work* however, New Years Day and I Will Follow have to be my honorable mentions..
smile.gif

These songs get my blood pressure elevated:

Daddy's Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car
PlayBoy Mansion
Even Better than the Real Thing
Where the Streets Have No Name
So Cruel

Yes, some are terribly sad. But they are so stirring. Deeply moving.

it was awesome hearing it played live, and i felt very lucky to hear them play it...Bono's voice was awesome when he sang this song live, it sounded like his voice from the mid 80's...the band was having such an awesome time playing it live...it was great....

Top 5

HMTMKMKM
Mofo
Billy Boola
Mysterious Ways
Trip Through Your Wires

I also love "Out of Control" - I was lucky enough to hear them play that AND the acoustic version of "In God's Country"! If they had thrown in "Stay" or "Party Girl" I might have fainted dead away...

Five? ONLY five?? Well here goes nothing, and in no particular order:

Elevation
Streets (any version, from anywhere)
Until the End of the World (live)
Walk On (live from my hometown!!)
Bad (live, from WAIA--shiver...)
Exit (especially from R&H)
Stay (Lexington KY)
Kite (Vegas)
Out of Control (LA3!)
One (LA2 *sobs*)

Sorry... I can't count!!

Thanks for the compliments on my choice of Billy Boola! It's a Bono/Gavin Friday song from the soundtrack to "In the Name of the Father," for those wondering. If you don't have that soundtrack, go buy it! Right now!

I saw Out of Control and In God's Country at the November Dallas show. I was hoping they'd do Out of Control because I'd read on Wire that they'd played it several times on the third leg, but In God's Country was a total surprise... I knew they'd played it in Phoenix but I thought it was just a one-time deal. That was probably my biggest musical treat of the tour.

So Maria, I'm guessing that you're from Texas too :). Which shows did you catch? I was at both Dallas shows and the Austin one - maybe we were in a GA line together!
