In all seriousness, part of it was probably "image" and part of it was covering up the MIA hair. IMO hats don't work for him - either JT or Popmart - but the type of hat he wore on Zoo TV/Elevation/Vertigo works good.

But yeah, Adam stopped coloring his hair and let it go gray/white, Edge should follow his lead, lose the beanie and stop dressing like a 19 year-old. At least he isn't wearing the numbered shirts this tour.

I like the T-shirts and jeans Edge wears. I think they are hip and he looks very cool. I would not want Edge to lose the beanie while on stage. His head would be all shining and bright under the stage lights.

My cousin was like 17 when he started losing his hair, but that happened because he was under a lot of stress. The thing is that guys don't recover the "lost" hair, even if they recover from stress. Not saying that Edge's early loss of hair is because of this, but guys tend to have greater problems with receding hairlines than girls

I've heard the testosterone thing too. I have a teacher that said he started losing his hair in high school. It's fairly common I think.
I think Edge looks great the way he is now, and looked good with the cowboy hat. I prefer the beanie to the shiny head, but bald isn't unbearable. What was unbearable was the skullet from JT era and the big hats!
I don't want Bono to lose his pretty hair. I know he is, and I think he may have actually gotten some extensions or something around Elevation. Really, look at the difference between Million Dollar Hotel era, then look at Beautiful Day. He still looks great though, especially when he doesn't brush his hair straight back over his head. Yay for messy hair! If his hairline really starts receding, I bet it would look better short, long hair in the back just accentuates the hairline a la Larry Mullet!

Hair loss has a lot to do with genetics.....
My dad right now in his 60's has a full thick head of hair...
My 3 brothers all in their 30's have a full thick head of hair...
Hair loss "doesnt" run in my family on either my mom or dads side
so my bros are lucky like that....

I think the beanie makes edge look cute! I dislike bald men... but it suits edge... but bald bono(and I don't mean the short shorter shortestr pop chop but REALLY bald) somewhere during popmart, that was complete HORROR!
I think edge looks better in it because his is natural..
