Thank god the man has an unique sense of "fashion". I don't see anything inappropriate in that. He looks quite classic.

Now, if Bono had any fashion sense, he'd know that he should be wearing the blue Armani shades with that outfit Cool colours go with cool colours. Purple is also a cool colour The fact that Bono wears purple socks makes him like 20% more awesome than he already is (for a grand total of 183% awesome )

But I also notice that his shirt is buttoned up for the occasion (yes, I looked )
