hey, i was wondering if any of you read the U2 fics at fanfiction.net? and if you do, i was wondering if you support the slash fic or if you oppose it

I don't mind the slash stuff

Some of it can be really nice to read-the author can manage to take two guys' romatic relationship and make it something really emotional, intriguing, and interesting to read.

I also love the comedic fanfiction from there. The outtakes of videos, that one with the interview, the story where they're stuck on that island, and so on-I nearly fell out of my chair with laughter when I read those! Some of the people there have a fantastic sense of humor.

Anywho, yeah, I don't mind the slash stuff.

duude! i write u2 fics there, and i guess SOME slash fics are good, not all. some are just all out..porn or something, they're okay if they have a good storyline, y'now? if you like that kind of shtuff, you MUST read Edgette's "Desire" if you skip over ehm "those" parts, It's pretty good.

oh, yeah, I never read the non-consensual sex stories or anything like that. Yes, it's smut but there is good smut and bad smut. I'm actually very picky, I tend to stick to the same authors.

There are alot of good U2 stories on ff.net

"Teamwork," "The Whirlwind and "In Silence" by Catherine are (I think) the best nonslash stories on the site.

"Disturbance" and "Stuck in an Island (Now They Can't Get Out of It)" by Lex Hawkmoon were hilarious stories.

Anything by likeamadonna, leelah, RougeWriter, Sunrazor, and L.A. Woman is a guarenteed good read. even if they are slash! (yum)

I just read some of it, too.

I definitely recommend everyone check it out, very interesting...I like the way it's set up and everything. It's like if I didn't know better, I'd swear this journal actually was Bono's.

I just discovered fan fiction... and I must say I find Bono/Larry slash very sexy... when it's not too explicit. But most of the time they pair Larry with Adam and Bono with Edge. I wonder why

I read one yesterday at fanfiction.net called Weak (I don't remember the author) and it was really good

There is actually all 4 journals. Sunny writes Bono's, Mandi (LardenceLover) writes Larry's, I think Caz writes Adam. Or maybe Caz writes Edge. I'm not sure who does the fourth...

I don't read them anymore. I used to, but the plotlines got repeatitive. Which is surprising, because I know the authors to be good writers.

wow....with all the renewed interest, i should get back there and submit!

i tend to read everything and try to find something good about it, something to learn from...something i like and something i don't.

i admit, i very very often skip over the sex (consensual or non) and i never write them...sometimes it just sounds so fake and corny and soap -opery!

but i dont mind too much if people feel they have to write it...as long as they dont think all sex is like that in reality...and as long as they dont try to make some of the sicker stuff their reality...
