Wow these are great pics!!! Woohh sooo close!!
so clear since it is still daylight out! that must be weird to see in the daylight- no lights blacking out the arena during Elevation.
for all the bedazzler lovers!!!

Cat - my "brush with fame" on this trip - we flew back to the US on the same flight as Anthony and met him at the airport. He was really a nice guy and gave us an autograph - my husband is a big Peppers fan so he was thrilled (of course he made me ask for the autograph lol!)

Would have LOVED to have met u guys!!! I dont know why I had it in my head the whole time u lot would meet up Saturday lunchtime!!!! If I had known it was the night before, I DEF would have had a place to stay, but unfort, was unlucky.......
Ach well, the main thing is u all had a great time there.......and yea, it would have been cool to have met AM.......
I was in on Saturday, and it was soooooo hot, but I felt teary-eyed on the train back to Belfast, the 7pm one, when 8pm came and the sun was setting, all I could think of was Slane...............*sigh*

The show was GREAT. I did a full review over in EYKIW, in lazyboy's thread (just back from Slane). But it was definitely one of my all time greatest U2 experiences!
God was with us on Saturday - it was about 80 degrees F and sunny. All the Irish folks I met there just couldn't believe it. They were all queueing up for factor at the first aid tent lol - no one will believe I got sunburned in Ireland!
mad1, I think I may be coming back to Dublin for St. Patrick's day!

I have a question for Slane goers- did Bono ever take his shades off? I haven't seen any with his shades off, does that mean the photographers stopped taking pics after the bullfight, or did he leave them on throughout the show since he was outside and wanted to protect his eyes from the sun?

OK I'll tell my story again... (I just don't want to bore ya!)
First off, Bono did take the shades off after it got dark, 'round Kite time. I think that was the same time they made the photographers go away from the heart, so that is probably why you don't see closeup professional pics yet - I bet when fan pics start coming in though you'll see it.
