From Billboard magazine:

In the current issue of Billboard Remy
Zero's single "Save Me" is reviewed. The obligatory
U2 comparison is included: "Lead Singer Cinjun Tate
has one of the most dramatic voices to come down the
pike in a while - though at first, you'll swear you're
listening to the latest U2 single; he's a dead ringer
for Bono."

I've heard that song-never noticed that.

*useless factoid*-he was married to Alyssa Milano-wasn't he?

He certainly doesn't look like Bono...

There is only one Bono. Period.

The only person the singer reminds me of is Michael Stipe, but Michael Stipe is a hell of a lot better than that guy. You can look like Bono, you can sing like Bono, but chances are you'll never BE Bono.

"Very strange looking object you have at the end of your stick.." - Bono

"Bono looks too intense for me." - Rollercoaster Tycoon park guest

"I was drunk, high on him, a shrinking, shadowboxing dwarf following in his foosteps...badly...STARSTRUCK.." - Bono, on meeting Frank Sinatra for the first time

"Bono? Bono is going to tie ropes around my neck? Wait a minute.." - Edge, when shooting the 'Numb' video

I love Remy Zero, but I don't get the Bono comparisons either. Maybe my ears are just finely tuned to the voice of Bono.

Ah... I LOVETH Remy Zero's new CD....but he doesn't sound like Bono AT ALL. If anything, maybe teh lyrics are a bit U2esque.....

Cinjun sounds like the singer guy of Starsailor, though.

~*Mona*~ LOVE me, give me SOUL
"I think I just said I was smart there - I'm sorry about that." ~Bono

"I...I had a one night stand with the Discoteque video" ~Mona

"If I knew who I was I wouldn't be an artist, I wouldn't be in a band, I wouldn't be here screaming for a living." ~Bono

I disagree.

Again, it may be a finely-tuned ear thing since Starsailor is one of my favourite bands. I DO see a similarity between James Walsh's voice and Jeff Buckley's, though. And I think the voice of the lead singer from Ours (can't think of his name at the moment) falls between Cinjun and James Walsh.

I don't hear any similiarity in their voices... to me, Bono's voice has always been something unique, and I never heard or felt that any singer had a voice like his.

Oh yeah, Gina, he was married to Alyssa Milano.

But you know there's something more
Tonight, tonight, tonight

I think the singer for Remy Zero sounds like early Bono a bit on the song "Save Me" but I've seen Remy Zero in concert ( and I really like them!) and I don't see much more of a similarity in their voices in other songs. I think it's just that one song.

I think it's a compliment to the guy that he sounds like Bono and that is was mentioned in Billboard.

I hope they do another concert soon. I really like them. They are great live.

Nah, I don't think so either... I don't listen to much Remy Zero, but 'Save Me' is one of my favorite songs... I've never thought that about his voice.

I saw them live in December, and I didn't think he sounded like Bono on other songs either, nor did he really remind me of Bono in terms of performing.
