Not lurking, I caught up. ;) Just...you know, updates on the boy and whatnot. Do I need a special reason to talk to you?

No, didn't pay for it, found an...online source, where the price was right.

My dinner. :| I'm hungry again.

Dazz  Sorry, got distracted, hope you had a great weekend. :)

Well, my time is valuable you know...I think I can book you in...next thursday at 7? Does that work for you? :p

Ah yes....boy details. :shifty:

Heh, :hi5: That's it! Give it to the man.

I'm hungry too...and my dinner wasn't rained upon with glass shrapnel.

nah, her dinner just exploded is all
or was a causulty of war I suppose
collateral damage?

yeah, I just read that ! :yikes: :yikes:

but i didn't know or forgot VP got stuck in the ER for soooo long........

VP, tthat was even longer than the last tine i was in the ER with my mom....
I'm glad you caught stuff in time. We'd try our best NOT to give our mon a cold when we had them. ANd if she got one we'd be really keeping an eye on her so hopefully (what with meds, her big nebulizer maCHINE etc] USUALLY we didn't have to call an ambulance. But there were those times to.

---------------------------------------------

and SG! :yikes:

 Very happy everything got cleared away/taken care of.

well some women are lucky enough to go through pregnency with "only" the milder side of side effects.....tho the last trimester with backaches, cramping of the organs in the mid-section, trying balance oneself AND do the chores/go to work etc.

But people DO say #NOT talking about genuine pre-exissting problems OR problems that DO develope out of the range of the usual expected problerms#...........

......that modern medicne in a way has "over-medicalized" pregnancy as a ? problem/ "dangerous condition" RATHER than that part of the Life Cycle that a woman choices to go thru.
(hope I'm making sense here)

OMFG

WOW

BTW i also think adam & edge releasing the canaries are ALSO quite lovely visuals (and empathetic in the danger real miners face

I dont remember all the words so don't know whether there's [proabably] metaphorical use of the canaries in in the sense of other potentially dangerous emotional situations that some of the lyrics might be said to have [IF i rmembered them :giggle:].

Sorry for the lapse between replies, we were both hungry due to our dinner disaster, so we decided to go out and get some peanut butter to make cookies.

Dazzled, I don't even know if I mentioned the er trip on here until today, because it wasn't that big of a deal. It was on a Sunday, and since it was a holiday weekend, she couldn't get in to see her Dr. till Tuesday at the earliest, and if we'd waited that long to get her attention, she probably would have ended up in the hospital.

We don't go around her with colds, either, the problem is, when cold season comes, she refuses to stay in, and when you're out in public, you can't avoid them. I see her point though, what kind of a life would it be never going out, living in a bubble? So, we just treat them as they come, and hope that they won't get TOO bad.

Did you ever hear anything more about your mom having arrythmia?

Bri, I'll try to get on later, right now I have to hand wash some sweaters for Sarah ( ), but if I don't, I'll see you on tomorrow.

:hmm:
I see my post might have been a bit unclear...............

I was actually remarking on 2 different things re your Mom.....

the first was how long you spent in the ER w your Mom on Canada's Thanksgiving day.....and mentioning the last time my mom & I were stuck in the ER for her....[NOT as long as you folks]

THEN how you went to have her get meds this time so she wouldn't get worse from the cold she got. ANd how we'd try to be caredul around our mom.

I guess TRY to think of it this way......IF she was forced to stay inside all the time during this time of year or any time......perhaps the frustration/upset from THAT would not be so good for her Immune System either.
Try to have her eat [if no allergies etc] as much frozen/freeze-dried different types of berries. If you get Pomogranites up there- they take time to eat- thery also are chock full of immune-boosters as are the berries. I beleive all of these have even more vit C than oranges and also have all these other phytonutrients.
I eat must of the berrie types now and mom introduced me to pomogranites decades ago. : )
----------------------------------------------------------------------

 I thot Pyrex wasn't supposed to do things like that?!
 SO glad you you both didn't get injured :yikes:

 PB cookies! Hvae fun baking!

I'll be on LESS THAN even usual till some in Jan :sigh::madspit:
...........but I'm pretty sure I'll catch you someWHEN before the the other Holidays.
If you want to read the crummy details there as to why- on pg 17 of the "Fro'ing" thread........

Until then :hug:S to you, Sara, and your mom!

Dazzled, I understood what you meant. :) I was just commenting that despite our best efforts, there's really not much you can do to prevent someone from getting sick. I don't feel right demanding that she stay in, because then she'd really be unhappy. So, we just deal with it. :)

We were actually seen that day pretty much right away, and they ran tests to make sure it wasn't her heart...but then they got busy with critical cases, and we had to wait forever for a doctor to get back to us with the results, and to write her a prescription. As much as I hate the wait, I'm glad that the critical cases are given priority, because we've been there when it's been that way for my mom and she was taken care of VERY promptly, and, that we don't have to pay. Yay socialism.

You didn't respond about your mom and the arrythmia?

Sorry you won't be around much in the next month. :(

Off to do sweater two. If you're not here when I get back, it was nice to see you, take care.

Hey girls  (and Carlos :eyebrow: )

Jem called me last night, and I got to talk to her and Craig - they'd just gotten in from a night on the town, celebrating their 6 month anniversary. :cute:

Did i ramble? I tend to ramble when drunk. :reject: Craig teased me yesterday morning, " Jem, you were rambling."

He said it was lovely talking to you. Can't believe I haven't talked to you since TO and CHicago.

Hey GG, sorry I was gone for awhile. A former student just came by to visit. She dropped out of university!

I'm good - it's finally cold here!

How are you?
