It's a tribute to somebody special, 'cause it used to be hers and I adore her. If she sees it, I hope she'll forgive the borrow.

Well, the babies are a bit better today. When I had four children rolled up in blankets by the kitchen woodstove yesterday afternoon I had a pretty bad feeling about the weekend, but everybody is up on their feet now.

Hi guys.

Spent yesterday with the family just enjoying beautiful weather and the city. We went to Balboa Park which is a gorgeous park in downtown San Diego. Similar to New York's Central Park, as it's very old, big, and gorgeous, but it is also where all the city's museums are. It was established in the mid 1800's and is where one of the early world's exposition's was held. I love it there and seem to find myself there when I need a quick and easy "vacation". Went in one of the art museums and just stared at gorgeous old art for a while. Then off to the Gaslamp Quarter downtown to a pub for fish n chips and beer. Yay! Maybe I'll post some pics later.

How are things going in here? Jeevey I can't remember seeing that icon before. Pop Edge and baby Bono. Interesting combo!

Same for anyone here. Especially since they seem such a mess during that so called creative process. Every producer basically tells us how weird they are and that they have no clue either. And that their process differs from most other artists they worked with. Blabla. Thats pretty frustrating sometimes.

I think the reason I enjoy OL so much because it was kept so simple. Something they don't do a lot these past years.

Sounds like proper you time! Awesome. Weather must be good there as well.

I'm getting back to reality right now. Work, things at home to fix and replace. Like my phone , and laptop who are dead and dying.

Glad you had a good (if not interesting and trying!) vacation, domo. There were tough times, but in all the vacation was a good one? And it's always nice to be home too. Oh and congrats on work too!

I think Gg told me about that once, Jj. But of course, it is not named in German, but in Spanish. I can't remember specifically right now, but I believe it is named for a Saint. Saint James I believe if translating to English. Lots of stuff is named in Spanish language in this area, as it was first area to be settled here. i think San Diego was the first city in California. (I think... )

Just had a quick look around and tried to confirm, and seems the name origin is a bit attributed to a few different reasons. Mostly named for the Spanish patron Saint Diego (James), but also for the thick forest surrounding the bay harbor that downtown SD is built in... the word diego being the word for this type of forest. (Which would be the area that Balboa Park, where I was yesterday, would be of that forest. It's an interesting mix of pine, palm, and eucalyptus trees, in deep canyons.)

I don't know who made it, but it was used for a long time by a prominent LJ writer.

I saw part of the Cosmos reboot on Sunday.

It's looking to be interesting.

And I really do need to give myself a proper re-read of good ol' fashioned LJ writing in a certain comm.
