That tulip is gorgeous! We only get the smaller, single color ones. Usually whites, pinks or yellows. Lil'CK always hopes for at least one yellow one, as it's his favorite color. (Oh, to be young again!

(I didn't even know there were dwarf tulips!)

One more CA Poppy. This was the first one to bloom, about 2 weeks ago. Now the plants are loaded with buds.

yeah, supposed to be alot of snow here and freezing temps but took a nap on a hammock outside the other day, with winter clothes ofc, too damn warm here

Fuck that its' spring now! Don't think we had day temperatures under 0C either... this was an odd winter.

We still have about 12 inches of compacted snow from several snowfalls left on the ground. It was probably a couple of feet when it was new, and now it's hard as bricks and will take a week of 50 degree weather to melt. Fifty degree weather sounds luxurious!

We had high 40s about a week or so ago. It lasted all of two days and then was back to below freezing, with wind chills below 0 yet AGAIN at night.

There are betting pools going as to whether or not we'll get up past 60 by April 1st.

I just went out to the backyard to check the bulbs there, and found this. I guess it's a variety I didn't even know was in there.

So this butterfly was posing perfectly for me, until I snapped the pic just as he decided to fly away.

It caught him mid-air though!

Orange blossoms on the tree. The entire yard smells sweet from them.

No that's a hyacint Comet, not sure if that's the English name as well. It's a common Dutch flower as well.

I thought it looked like one. But I only bought a package of tulip bulbs, so there must have been strange things goin on in the tulip factory that day.

Well their bulbs do look similar, so perhaps both kinds were packed in the same factory?
