KristenCaNaDiAn: Sorry to hear about your vertigo. I know it can suck. My daughter suffers from it too. I of course don't know any more about yours than what I just read here in this thread but I thought it might be worth mentioning as she is finally getting some relief thanks to one last doctor who was finally able to help. We had also tried all the things you mentioned including diet, etc etc... she did get some relief from one doctor who had her on "Advil therapy" she called it. (It was taking like 4 Advil 3 times a day or something like that, some large amount, and it did help, but eventually came back). But finally another doctor had her do an MRI and it showed a small amount of fluid in the sinus. He said some people can just get that trapped there and it never comes out on it's own and can have a mild infection from it. (We had tried antibiotics on their own before) but this time he had her do a sinus rinse with a netti-pot and a saline mix. Three times a day for a few weeks. She started getting better almost right away, and has been since. Now days if she starts to feel it coming back, she starts the rinses again and clears it right up, because she will always be prone to it. She hated learning and getting used to the rinse at first since it's not fun putting liquid through your nose :crack: but the result was so remarkable it's well worth it and she's used to it now.

:reject: sorry everyone else for that bla bla bla, but I hoped it might help her a bit.

Sorry to hear your daughter had vertigo too  Glad she got some relief from it though.
I have gone for an MRI to check all that and they said everything came back normal and clear.
Thanks for the concern and advice

You're welcome - sorry it took so long! :)

No worries.

Count me in for dinner GG

That sounds delicious!

Hopping a plane as we speak (err... type)! :D
Hurry while it's still hot!

:applaud: good job on your 44,000 post Gg. We've come along way baby :D (actually, we've barely moved. ) Nice picspam  And omg I remember the 2 of us had some sort of Bono's tie-dye shirt collection didn't we? :giggle:

:hi5: yeah, you helped me out big time with that. And I'm still sneaking closer to your postcount... :shifty: one day... !

Ah ok then, I hope you get it figured out. :( I was thinking it might not hurt to try the rinses anyway since they don't hurt anything, but I guess if they were sure there was no fluid there. He did say her MRI was "normal" as well, and the small amount of fluid was nothing a doctor would normally worry about when determining if an MRI is normal, but he just had this idea that it could be what's causing her trouble. And he was right. Sorry if I'm not making sense!

NEVER!

Actually I'm sure you will. (I think our counts have stayed almost consistently this far apart for years haven't they? It's funny)

:shifty: So I made a whole ton of these last night, and I'll post them all over in the other thread later, but I wanted to give you ladies this one first to enjoy him before everyone else gets their hands all over his leather.

I'm off for a while. Carpet cleaning tomorrow, and we gotta move everything reasonably movable :crack: why do I have so much crap stashed everywhere... but I have to, this carpet hasn't been cleaned since we put it in years ago. (yuck) I'm sure this place will lure me back soon enough tho. I have many gifs to post :shifty: My kid should never have taught me to do it. It's addicting in some weird way. (daz I know I owe you a tutorial too!)

It's not! She freaked at first and it was a mess! She thought she'd never be able to learn to get used to it, but now she's a pro. :)

Oh god my parents had me try that as a kid when I had a bad cold. NEVAR AGAIN. :scream: The memories still haunt me.

Your kid's a brave one!

And I think youv'e always been about 1k posts ahead of me. But we'll see how long that lasts.

Hello everybody! I´m finally back from Helsinki and I´d like to share some moments with you. My day started with stepping off the ship, and turning around the corner, finding myself in the crowd of people. I thought to myself, what´s goin´ on and then I saw that this was the bands hotel.I didn´t want to hang around, cos there were too many people so I walked to the stadium. Because my ship arrived so early, I had all day to hang around. I walked down on some shortcut that came from stadium hotel and ended up on the side behind all the trucks and crew transport. Then I got to talking with one of the security guys and he said to me to wait 30 minutes because this road is closed. I didn´t want to walk all the way round the stadium,so I stayed there. Ten minutes later Bono arrives, then a bit later Adam and after ten minutes, Edge. Too bad I have so primitive camera, most of my photos turned out shit. I hanged around for a little more and all of a sudden Dallas jumps out of nowhere and starts walking towards us(there was 5 more people there) and shouts " THE EDGE! THE EDGE! HE´S THE BEST ISN´T HE?" We were all like yeeeeeeeesss! And then he came over and said with mock exhaustion " I don´t know, the man is crazy, he has 32 guitars on this show-32!!! We should all say to him to put on another hat and go home!" Then he said that they had given Edge a new cowboy hat for birthday. He handed out some picks but unfortunatelly he had only 4 so I did´nt get any. After he went inside ,he winked and said that there will be a new song! We were all so exited and they did Every Braking Wave! It was so beautiful! After the song,Bono said that this song is so fresh, that nobody has ever heard it exept him and Edge.
And let me tell you this was the best night I´ve had! I was in the seats on Edges side in the middle,so I had very good wiew. Only bad thing was, that it started raining and by the end of the show it rained quite heavily. After MOS,Bono started sining " I ´m siiingin´in the raaaiiiin!" and then Edge followed and then the whole stadium and Edge splashed the front row people with water(they were standing in the puddles by then)
ok here´s Dallas

I think I died and went to heaven. What a wonderful and handsome man. fgsdgsdfdssd :faint:

I know there are a lot of people worse off then me so I really try not to complain about it. Just trying to live with it as best as I can. It's just sometimes I get frustrated and have bad days.

aaawwww, you have the right to complain, K

Having had it myself to a lesser degree & way more infrequent, it's really scary!
It may not technically be "life-threatening", but some that really impairs you abilty to move about in a regular fashion AND i know I'm afriad of falling and really injuring myself when it hits me in it's sudden stronger degree.....(sometimes i get a bit of warning and I slow down, adjust my shoulder bags etc and it can be minimized or stopped-- mine is definately due to muscle pulling vetabrae c1,c2 out of line)

SO sorry you had SUCH a bad bout of it!!! :(:hug:

Glad you are much better now! :)

Not unless it happens

Not sure how easy it will be? Also if we can find out where they are staying..In Europe hotel seems to be best place to meet them:shrug:, then maybe i'll do that and soundboard the 2nd night :hmm:

Actually the band is trying to meet me

 GMTA. I just suggested that to Domo. I know what hotel they stayed during the Vertigo tour, and it fits with the hotels they usually choose. :shifty:

I reckon if I'm doing the first night insanely early to get a near perfect spot, we could just go soundboard the second to get a nice view of the Claw action and some nice clawporn shots. And who knows what VIP's are present at the deck!

You should send them a note that it's your birthday. Maybe Bono wants to dance.
