That's awesome.

You guys, the show blew my fragile little mind. We were all going apeshit, all "WHAT IS GOING ON????? WHO IS THIS BAND????? WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO PLAY NEXT????" It was so fun.
I was checking the updates from my phone as I was coming home from a Jimmy Buffett show (ugh, don't even get me started - grr) and I really thought I was being Punk'd.

I haven't heard what happened in Anaheim yet, since I've barely been on the internets at all in the past few days, but I'm guessing it was amazing? I'm going to peruse back to see what I've missed.

I'm absolutely WIPED out. This weekend was crazy. We had our huge building grand opening yesterday, so that was exhausting but fun. Then it was my mom & aunt's party right after that. Everything went smoothly and well, which was such a relief. But now that I'm home, it's hitting me how fucking exhausted I am. I'm so glad I have tomorrow off, so I can just sleep and relax.

I'm afraid to review the setlist party.

Thora, just check out the first 6 or 7 songs, and you'll see what we mean.

My stomach went all wonky again, which SUCKED. I didn't think I was anxious or stressed, like Seattle - I don't understand how being overly excited and not worried could cause such physical distress.

Luckily, I was fine for the show, but did not feel well again afterward, and was just pissed off that it was happening. Tons of people were there, and I wanted to be having as much fun as they were, but I just had finally go sit in one of the bedrooms and be miserable. Thankfully, I fell asleep at 3 when the others went to bed, and slept til 7. Feel fine today.

I have to make my annual doctor's appointment. I'll definitely be asking about it, because this is the second time (third, counting Vegas, although that may have been partially alcohol-related) it's happened. I can't have this happening every time I get overly excited or stressed.

Because hello, if this is what I have to look forward to with my Ireland trip, that is unacceptable.

Cori- that kinda happens to me, too. My body went into panic attack mode the first time I watched the 360 dvd. I guess my brain can't tell the difference between excited adreneline and "zomg, a bear!" adreneline.

Just checked out the setlist. OH MY GOD YOU GOT THE FLY!!1!! Lucky!! That's so awesome. I hope it will make an appearance in Montreal. Even if it doesn't, it was awesome to hear it soundchecked in Seattle. And wow, the song order was sure different! That would have thrown so many people off!

Oh man, that sucks about your stomach acting up on you again. Hopefully your doc can figure out what's going on.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that I won a $50 gift card to Chapters (Canadian bookstore) a few days ago! On Twitter they asked people to send in Canucks fan pictures of yourself, and I submitted the one you took of me in Seattle, cori, where I'm leaning over the rail and wearing my jersey. My pic was the randomly selected winner. So thanks for helping me to win a bunch of new books! I'm getting a confirmation email tomorrow, supposedly, so I hope I get my gift card or code soon so that I can buy some e-books before I go to Montreal.

Yeah Thora it was nutty! 5 Achtung songs in a row to open, then One and Streets right at the front end of the show. It was SO WEIRD. but cool.
Cori sorry to hear about you not feeling well again. You know, I just realized how similar that seems to what happened to Chelsea in Oakland. We had a great day leading up to the actual show, but once inside the stadium she suddenly was having horrible stomach pains for no apparent reason. They would come and go, but there were times she actually sat on the GA floor at my feet just trying to get through the pain. She said she'd never had anything like that. She has no memory of a lot of the songs that were played because of it. As soon as we left she felt better. Really pissed her off too!

That is awesome Thora!

Cori, my daughter has the same thing you do, but she phyically gets ill. For the longest time, we couldn't figure out what to do. We found an answer for her, and it is stress induced, and seems to occur when she has had chocolate when she is stressed. Hers is called "Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome" and now that we know, we give her gravol on the night before super exciting things happen, and she avoids chocloate on school days. (if it isn't a school night and she really wants it, I let her have it and we take our chances)

Huh, interesting! Thanks for the info. This is what happens to me (spoilered for total TMI talk):

I start getting nervous butterflies in my stomach, and then it turns into digestive issues, and it feels like I just need to poo, although if I try and do so, nothing happens. If I'm active, moving around, it seems to get better, so during the shows both times, it was absolutely fine (and I could tell I was hungry).

But when it starts really getting going, like it did all night in Seattle, and after the show last night, it's like a nonstop churning feeling in my digestive tract, like the butterflies but worse, and I just can't even sit still, I'm so uncomfortable.

and then eventually, all the churning makes me puke (that's what it seems like is the cause). In Vegas, that finally made me feel better, and I slept. With Seattle, I puked right away, and the churning continued all night. Last night, it was churning, then puke, then more churning.

And yesterday it came on completely unexpectedly. I sat down to eat lunch with everybody, was starving, took two bites of my sandwich, and felt a wave of nausea wash over me, like I needed to run outside and get air. It passed, and I slowed down my eating (because I did have to eat something), but then that started it.

I wasn't sure how much it was just "too much excitement, too much sun," that sort of thing (which I had also originally blamed the Vegas episode on), so I made a point to go back to the hotel later on, to get out of the sun and just relax. And I was able to eat a little bit before the show. Definitely felt better. It wasn't until just at the end of the show that I started realizing that it was coming back.

So yeah. Just so uncomfortable and frustrating. Suck city.

Bleh, that does blow. Have you tried taking Pepto Bismal or something ahead of time?

I'm going into the show just assuming I'm going to feel like I can't breathe the whole time, but if it turns out I actually feel ok (which I probably will), I'll just take it as a pleasant surprise.

Got outbid on my makeup at the last second. If Edge doesn't propose, it is TOTALLY that ebayer's fault.

It sounds similar. Hers is called Cyclic because it always happens at the same time of day (when she wakes up) and once she gets started, it doesn't stop. She does get that "churning" feeling as well. Gravol does stop it. I hope you can figure it out. I know how stressful it is for us. We are so worried about our Disney trip/cruise in November.

Minneapolis should theoretically be stress-free, but of course I'll be super excited, so I'm a little nervous as to what might happen.

Which of course isn't helping, being nervous about being nervous.

I usually have Pepto on hand, didn't yesterday. This is so unlike any other kind of "tummy ache" I've ever experienced that I don't know that it would work. I didn't take it for the Seattle show, as I threw up so soon after getting home, I didn't want to glug any of that.

Amy- not sure if it will help, but there are free first aid stations in all the parks. If she starts feeling icky, she can go in to lay down & cool off and they'll check her out for you.
