It was one year ago tonight that my life changed. The first time I ever saw U2 live. The first time I ever cared so much for a band. The beginning of my U2 super fandom. Yes, on 2 December 2001 I saw God walk through the American Airlines arena... and that night U2 changed my life.

Egads! November 30 was the anniversary of my last of two Elevations (the other one being in March), both in Atlanta. I really can't describe the experience; suffice it to say that I was so blown away after the show that it took me an hour to find the hotel that was right up the

street. Damn! :heart:

Hippy you're gonna make cry, I miss the tour so much, you actually inspired me to finally write my little diary entry for this, which i was gonna share with everyone but I'm at the bottom of the third page and nowhere near done. Hey if there's any way you can send me you're thousands of pictures from this show I would love it being that I think i got lazy and forget to save them all. This is probably my tied with opening night for my favorite show of the 7 I went to, the energy was amazing, the crowd was doing the wave before the show began for God's sake!!!! There aren't enough words.

Hippy...I can't tell you how much I needed to read your review of your concert. You made me cry, but it was a good cry...I read your review and it took me back to what I felt when I saw U2...God did indeed move through that arena that night...I wish I had been there with you...I wish you had been there with me...When I heard "One" for the first time I broke...I just couldn't take it anymore...I started to openly weep and total strangers around me hugged me and held me up. Perfect Strangers.

Ooohh...Miami, 2 Dec was my only my second U2 show ever; my first time in the heart, but lucky enough to be in the second row. The memories...

I think I have to watch the vid, look at the pictures, listen to the bootleg and stare at The Edge's guitar pick tonight. :sigh:

Totally. And I didn't get the name of the girl beside me in the heart, but she was so nice to let me move in front of her just to get a good view and good shots of Larry.

BTW, you could actually hear and feel the difference of Larry's drumming and the guy who proxied for Butch Vig of Garbage.
