Oh I've been so busy with a new job that I didn't even hear about this until today! OK - since I (we) have been inspired by the man, I emailed this to the Oprah show:
(As you can see I didn't not mention anyone by name. If (and that's a big if) someone gets back to me, I'll definitely ask for permission before giving out names.
Hello Oprah and Friends,
Yes, Bono has motivated and encouraged me to become
involved with helping others in Africa or other
developing countries. Even though your show with Bono
was probably taped months ago, I wanted to tell you
about a special group of people who are inspired byBono.
On the internet there is a U2 website called
"Interference" where people interested in U2 can read
about the group, discuss polictics and share ideas.
As many people are inspired by Bono and the band's
work to improve the world, I've read on Interference
about people who were so inspired by Bono that they
signed up for courses about developing countries, volunteered for organizations that support countries in need,
wrote their congress people about supporting
legislation to help Africa and one person has even
joined the Peace Corps. A wonderful "Interferencer"
even started a subgroup called Bono's Angels within
the Interference forum so that those of us wanted to
become more educated about the tragedy in Africa and
help out could stay connected. Because of this forum
we can get the latest news about Congressional
legislation, hear about Jubilee's progress and learn
more about Bono's non-profit, DATA. It's our best way
to find out how to help and get others inspired.
I've included an example from Interference so that you
you can see how this communication works.

I'm so glad that the Oprah show is giving attention to
Bono and his work. He certainly deserves it!
Thanks for your time,
