suggestion - just because you're putting something on a shirt doesn't meant i has to sit smack in the centre on the front or in the middle.
try playing with placement a bit - you could crop the no feet one at his knees maybe and then have him coming up from the bottom of the shirt
i bit like this:

its not a perfect theme (i wouldn't make it gery for one) but unfortunately i don't have photoshop at work and thats the best i can do with "paint" which is a pile of shite!
you get the idea though

here, i did a slightly better quality one also slightly different too (he's not cut off at the knees)
