I have always admi(red) Bono's relationship with African leaders.

Just like Bob Geldof, Bono immerses himself into the complexities of the issues facing this Continent and its many nations and isn't afrais to speak his mind about possible solutions to some of Africa's challenges.

Yet, when on a forum with African people who know the issues and the complexities of their own lives much better than B, Bono will always defer to them as the experts (which they are) and TRULY LISTEN to what they say and to what they need, instead of thinking that he has all the answers to the issues that African people face in their lives.


This is a rare trait in people coming from Northern countries, but Bono and Bob (amongst others like Jeffrey Sachs and Stephen Lewis) truly possess it - and that makes me love and respect them all the more.
