I worked on the TV Show Pop Stars (don't laugh) in 2001, and I think the woman in this pic is Nicole Scherzinger from the now defunct "Eden's Crush".

Does anyone know? Can someone translate the text? And who is the other guy next to her. Good for her, but wow.. what's the deal?

Yes, I think you're right about the woman. The caption for some of the pics (you can see more in the thread "Bono at the Races" from a couple of days ago) said "R & B singer Nicole".
