Spill some drool over them for a change of pace :sexywink:

Are they into U2 as much as you are?
How do they deal with your,um, feelings for the band?
Do they know PLEBA exists?!
Or must you hide it from them?

I have been married to my husband for 18 years. I dated him for 3 years before that. He knows I come here a lot, but I don't think he knows what it's all about. If he did, I'd just say, well at least I'm looking at a guy MY OWN AGE with his CLOTHES ON which is more than I can say for him (my husband) and what he looks at online! *coughteenporncough* ;) LOL! Got 'em there! :D

Great question!

My hubby, better known around PLEBA as Big Rick is the THE most tolerant husband in the world when it comes to my obession! He's not quite as into them as I am but he tries SO hard to know things about them so he can impress me with his U2 knowledge. He always puts a U2 CD on in car for me, takes pictures of U2 related street signs and buys U2 collectables on ebay for me. He indulges my passion for vinyl by taking me to used record shops on the weekends and made sure I had tickets to every Elevation show I wanted to go to. He's 15 years older than me so I give him so much credit for doing all this for me, just because it makes me happy.

Every now and then, I detect a little annoyance or maybe jealousy if I've gone on too long about Bono but other than that, he's great about it. He'll watch videos with me and ask questions and he really tries to remember what I've told him so he can impress me the next time he sees the video!

One night he had a dream that I we were at a party and I was getting really friendly with some blond guy. He woke up and told me he was mad at me because I was "all over some guy" in his dream. Then, he said "the way you were looking at him and hanging on his every word, he might as well have been Bono!" I laughed so hard and I don't think I've ever loved him more than at that moment! He gets it!

He knows all about PLEBA and doesn't mind at all. He thinks the girls are hilarious and loves the pics of Elizabeth and the pants. He pretty much knows who everyone is and doesn't mind the "naughty" things that sometimes go on.

In other words, I am very, very lucky.

*edit for something I just remembered! We were on a day trip a few months ago, in a very rural area and for some reason, he pulled over and jumped out of the car with his camera. I looked over and saw that he was taking a picture of a street sign that said "Larry Lane." Then, all of the sudden, he came running back to car out of breath and when I asked what was wrong, he backed the car up and told me to look down at the base of the sign. He was standing next to a HUGE rattlesnake while he was taking the pictures

 um, yeah...I don't know how many times I've felt guilty about the U2 porn that goes on in PLEBA chat only to look over and see REAL porn on his computer!

Yep you are! He sounds like a really sweet guy.

I kind of have the hots for this guy who is also a U2 fan... but he used to be my sister's boyfriend and she kinda still likes him... so I think I'm going to steer clear from him. My life is way too complicated just as it is now, and I don't want to make it worse.

hi girls!

my bf is learning about u2. he asks questions and like bono's american wife's hubby he
tries SO hard to know things about them so he can impress me with his U2 knowledge
.

he knows about 'the board' as i tend to refer to interference, but he doesn't know what goes on in this place ;). he just thinks its wonderful that i connect so well with other fans and we love the band so much!

My ultimate dream is to one day (soon would be good!) meet a guy who loves the band as much as I do (or even a LITTLE would be good!) and then we could go to concerts together!

I feel the same way about meeting a woman who's as U2 crazy as I am.

Well, the man I'm smoochin' in my avatar is my fiance John...better known to some Interferencers as drgnwolf1969. John lives in Virginia, so we don't get to see each other often...he is very good to me about my U2 obsession though. When I visited him for Christmas, he presented me with a beautiful U2 poster...which went everywhere with us in the backseat of his car! *lol* He even took my picture of me with my poster at a whole bunch of different places so it would be like I was travelling with U2! :D He has even been so sweet as to send me U2 pictures (mainly sexy Bono ones!) in my email and through instant messengers.

Here's a pic of us...me and the sexiest U2 fan in the world! :D

*edits to add...*

Oh, and John knows allllllllll about PLEBA and drops by sometimes. He knows that it's just good fun for me, so he doesn't mind at all.

My husband knows about my U2 obsession and I've turned him into a fan. He doesn't really know too much about his place though. He refers to it as my "U2 cult"!

My husband knows about my obsession. It has gotten to the point where the guys at his work know I love to see Bono. Even my daughters know about Bono.

Well, I got myself an Irish guy a while ago and despite the fact he's from Dublin and he lives relatively near from Bono's gaff he just can't stand U2! LOL Sap! :p

But lately, he has been playing In a little while for me a lot. I guess that's a good start.

He's into System of a Down, Deftones Red Hot Chilly Pepers and that kind of music , which I like too by the way.

But the main reason why I think he can't stand our boys, and particularly Bono, is cus he's Jealous!!!!! Ah dear...he's such a goon!!!!! But i adore him!!!!

My real life 'victim'

ooooo good question. ok so I've got a wonderful boyfriend who I've known for about 3 years now and we've been dating for nearly 2 years now. Sadly though he lives around the borderline of maryland and washington d.c. while i'm traped in hell.... i mean florida. the funny thing is that we both met each other through a server that once was alive named Live Universe in a role playing chat room dedicated to the vampire game called Vampire: The Masquerade. I won't go into major detail about the chat room or what role playing is for those who don't know. Anyways. He doesn't like U2 @ all but he knows about them and can easily tell when the band is being played on the radio. Anything and Everything that is even irish he just does not like :( He deals with my obsession with the band pretty well but 'coz of personal issues he has I really can't overdo the U2 thing around him. I do hope to one day really sit down with him and talk about all of it to show him how wonderful U2 really are. He doesn't know about PLEBA since I don't really talk to him about it...it being U2 related but he does know I come into the chat to talk to other U2 fans.... hell when he first met me he knew right away how much of a fan I was. back then in the other chat rooms from live uni u could have like your own lil quote seen next to your name and i'd always have some silly thing like i love edge or a u2 quote.
Even though he can't stand U2 I do love him with all my  and plan to marry him one day. It'll be much easier then to slowly brainwash him with U2 so he won't even notice his sudden obsession with the band  When I went to see the guys during their Elevation tour I didn't tell him 'til the last min that i was going to see them 'coz i knew that he was a tad jealous of Edge from my being lustful after him... LOL now wait 'til he hears I've gone lusting after Bono!! anywho. He wished me to have a fun time @ the concert and even wanted to know how it was when we got the chance to talk the next day! He always says he hates when he hears the band on the radio but then becomes really happy 'coz it reminds him of me. Like any good guy he does what he can to remember any U2 related fact that I blab on about to show me he cares about my interests. The biggest challenge is gonna be getting him to go w/me to a U2 concert. Well I've got time and I don't see the boys rushing off to head back out again! I think if my guy did know about PLEBA he'd roll his eyes, let out a exhausted sigh and ready himself in case I started rattling on and on about what goes on in here. He has amazing paitence with me when it comes to U2. Next time I get him to send me a pic of himself I'll see about posting it up either here or on my lil yahoo club site I'm trying to work on. He is such a hottie..... alright b4 i blab on and on about what he looks like and such other things i think i'll finish this. LATERS!!

I was going out with a guy for a bit and then I told him i didnt wanna go out with him for a while and he sent me a text later that day saying "well thats fine then you just go drool all over larry or something i knew i was never good enough for you" jealousy baaaahaaaahaaaa and he comes up to my house a lot and puts on my u2 cds and has learnt all the names of the band members lol but he just calls larry "my bloke" lol aaaaw hes cute

Oh but i tink the coolest guy i know is my daddy hes just theeee best ever and he always takes me out to cd and record fairs...lets me oogle at the u2 vinyl for ages and then buys me it and he buys me u2 stuff online

I even caught him on u2 websites trying to buy signed u2 stuff

He took me to see u2 and spoilt me that day he even took me right beside the stage

Ohhh and he dont really like them but he bought me a u2 book and read it before he give me it @ Christmasand rhymed off all these u2 facts he knew and he bought me soooo much u2 goodies last christmas it was great!!

Hes the coolest! :D  :D

Geez, this is probably why I don't have a "significant other" right now.     Seriously, I've had really bad luck with men. Can you say "monster egos?":madspit: :lemon:

Oh, how I love a man who is secure with himself!!!!!! :D

That is one of my fave Bono pictures, baby! :)

Awwww.....Bonochick & John, you guys are so cute! *fuzzies*

It sounds like the rest of you have found good guys as well! Good stories, Bono's American Wife!

I'm single at the moment, but like wertsie said, it would be nice if I could find a guy who'd like to go to concerts with me!

My current love interests dont appear to know or care much about U2. :(
This one guy claims to love U2, but I think he's faking. I asked him who his favorite member was and he said "Umm,Bono." :eyebrow:
One of these days I will quiz him and try to get him to fess up. :D
Though I guess I dont mind too much if my boyfriend isnt into u2 when we first meet. Just as long as he's willing to convert! :sexywink:

I'm like a religious fanatic with this band...I will hound anyone and everyone until I convert them!!!!

No boys......

but once I scared a male teacher away from my school, and once a 13 year old gave me his ice cream sandwich and said I was "cool" (Ah Christian....how I miss thee......) and another 13 yr old asked me to flash him.....

Hm.

OK Maybe I shouldn't be posting here then......13 year old boys think you're weird for reading poetry :madspit:

Anyway......if I DID have a boy... and he didn't like Bono I would be sad......it's a way to identify with people.

Not that I enjoy singing the main vocal of Billy Boola in the McDonald's driv thru...*COUGHFishyCOUGH*

I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world, but the whole U2 thing has really gotten to be a big part of me......with some songs and stuff meaning so much to me.....ANYWAY...

I've got a bf that lives in Canada.. we haven't been able to see each other yet but we've got somethin special so we're gonna keep it going. He likes a few U2 songs such as hmtmkmkm and elevation.. and he kinda knows about the whole forum but not just pleba. hehe :) just thinking about him has got me all giggly. silly me :D

He's into System of a Down

Hey, I saw System of a Down in concert a couple of months back. I went with my brother and his friends because they're one of my brother's favorite bands. After it was over, he said to me, "See, they were much better than U2, weren't they?" and I replied with a very firm, "NO!" but, hey, they weren't too bad either!

*shifty eyes*

I have no idea what you are talking about...

I mean just cause you enjoy singing lead vocal IN NO WAY implies that I have the backup vocal memorized and also enjoy performing for the under-paid McDonalds employees...

*shifty eyes*

So about this weekend...

I do not currently have a boyfriend, but my best friend is tolerant of my U2 habits...at first he was very against it all...but now he knows the people I talk to by name and asks about them, he calls me Fishy when he wants to tease me, but it is all in fun, as for liking U2...he can tolerate them in small doses, so I try not to push it.
