Hello Plebans!

So, I have 30 iTunes that I won here on Interference, and I'd love your help in chosing what songs to buy. Since these were free, I'd like to chose some songs that I wouldn't normally pick for myself. I'm trying to broaden my horizons, and I know you all have excellent musical tastes!

I'll seriously consider anything except country music. That's the only thing I absolutely refuse to listen to. Sorry! I have a pretty open mind, and would love to hear your suggestions!

Have fun, and suggest away! :D If you have any questions, let me know.

Are you thinking of non-u2 songs?

In that case I'd recommend to check out Snow Patrol.
Q magazine called them the new Coldplay, and if you like them even the slightest you'll surely like Snow Patrol too, and they're kinda more uptempo than Coldplay too and their singer doesn't use his falsetto 24/7 like Chris Martin does.

Here's some 30 second clips of off "Final Straw" one of their better albums:

"Run" and "Chocolate" are my favourites on that one.

"Eyes Open" their latest record isn't too bad neither.

You won the joke contest Thora?! Congratulations! :applaud:

I really love Huey Lewis and The News. If I had to choose one song specificially by them than it would be Power of Love. Also James Blunt has a great new one out called "High". Oh and recently I discovered Blue October's "Hate Me". Hope this helps you out some, lol.

Thanks so much for your suggestions so far! I'll definitely check them out.

Yes - I'm looking for something other than U2. My musical tastes vary so much. I like everything from Norah Jones to Beastie Boys. Honestly, I'll give anything a chance except country music.

Well, so much for getting these iTunes for free. It turns out the certificate is only valid for the US store, and I live in Canada. So, I've decided to have a 3rd round for the joke contest and will be giving away this certificate to someone else.

Thanks for giving me some great suggestions though. I really appreciate it! :)

If you're from the States, and want a chance to win some free iTunes, check this thread out!
