LOL. U2Kitten, I did touch Bono. My entire group (me, anitram, joanna and marvin) all got to touch the one and only Bono.
Okay, as I said we were in the front of the heart, the second row, in the center. Of course, during the U2 performance, we were moved by various pushings/squeezings/shovings which was annoying, but to be expected (I've got the bruises to prove it). We really were in a great spot though. Adam was to the right of me and I often caught him smiling away and laughing. I made DIRECT EYE CONTACT with Larry several times throughout the show. Be still my heart! Also made eye contact with the Edge and with Bono. Swooon....
Okay, now I believe it was during "Bad" (someone can correct me if I'm wrong) when Bono was leaning over and reaching out to us at the front of the heart. I mean, from the get-go we were all holding out our hands in the hopes that he would touch us, but I didn't think he would. Still, during that song as he came closer, I was standing on my tiptoes, lunging forward, with my hand outstrectched as high as it could go and then I got to touch him!!!!!
Sigh. I first felt his jacket, hehe. Then I touched his hand, and everyone who has touched him before is right: Bono has such lovely, soft hands. Must use good moisturizer or something.
Hehe. Then since everyone else put their hands on him, I took my hand off cuz I didn't want to touch their hands, and then I grabbed his pinkie and held onto it for a while.
I sure as heck didn't want to let him/it go, but alas I had to.
Also, he came precariously close to falling over and on top of us, which would have caused complete mayhem, but people held him up and with them and security, he got back onstage and took off his jacket (hubbahubba), turned it inside out and hung it on the mic. With the jacket that way, we saw that he had an American flag sewn into the inside of it, which was a great thing to see (I'm American, from NY, lol).
Also, during one of the songs, you could obviously tell that Bono was hot from the lights and the energy, so he took a long swig from his water bottle. Then he looked at all of us in the heart who were all smooshed together and hot under the lights and he had this twinkle in his eyes and then he removed the cap and sprayed us with his water that he had just taken a drink out of!!!
LOL so we got Bono germs...well, if you had been hit by his water, which I definitely was.
