Bono fell off the stage at RFK stadium in DC when he hurt his arm/shoulder. Witnesses say he was crying and Ali was comforting him on the way to the doctor. Awwww.
He got the scar on his chin in Arizona. He was carrying the BTBS spotlight and he fell and he landed face down into the spotlight, making a bad gash on his chin, which can still be seen. As someone said on one of the mailing lists, it was so lucky really he didn't disfigure his face more, or knock out his teeth or put out an eye when he fell with it against his face! Poor Bono, what rough occupational hazards.

I have the Rattle & Hum outtakes of this little episode and its pretty much like you said except I didn't see him crying. He looks more like "don't touch me" than anything else. It's really funny in the hospital when the nurses are trying to get information from him, like his full name and in typical rock star fashion, he just stares blankly until Ali steps in and says she'll fill out the paperwork.

You can usually find the videos from someone who's willing to make copies for you. Or, you can go on E-bay and spend at the least $60.00 for them. check the U2 lists.... there's at least one or two on there who either have them or know how to get copies of them.

Here's 2 pics of him carrying on the tour with is hurt arm.
I read an interview once where he said 'when the tour started, I had a face with no scars and two good arms that worked.' Aww poor baby.
On this same topic, I also heard he fell off the stage in Paris on the summer tour last year and had several cracked ribs which made it painful for him to take a deep breath, meaning that singing loudly hurt him, but he refused to cancel any shows.

Okay girls, I just went on E-bay and I was able to find it so I bought it! I'm sorry I took bidding privelages away from people, but it was only being auctioned for 10$ and sold for 12$ and there were no bids.
I'm crossing my fingers hoping the quality is ok. The guy selling it said he got it from some fan club (Propaganda???). Anyway, I will let you girls know how it is, and then if it's worth it I'll make copies.

I can only make a few copies every couple of days because it's such a looong tape so please be patient with me
The quality of this tape is not perfect, and at times the audio cuts out, at times the video cuts out, but, its a boot copy and that's what you get sometimes. Overall, the unseen footage is worth the bad quality!
