Hi!

Who knows......this is a dark secret that no one seems to share........I personally wish her a speedy recovery.

This place is somewhat different than some other fan sites I visit.......it's actually somewhat bizarre here.

All the best to her!

What was wrong with her?:eyebrow: *out of it*

She most likely had/has some serious disease or illness, possibly leukemia. Edge dedicated a Grammy to her, but he and the rest of the U2 camp haven't offered any details to the media (and rightly so). We're assuming she's doing better since Edge is now able to tour.

eeeeeek! Hold on! I'll copy and paste it.

BTW, it doesn't say anything about Sian, it just deals with the media and Edge's family situation.

Edge legal extension

A TEMPORARY injunction obtained in January by U2 guitarist Dave 'The Edge' Evans and his wife, Morleigh Steinberg, to prevent the 'Sunday World' newspaper publishing details relating to a family illness, was continued for a further week yesterday.

The High Court heard the defendants were likely to agree to a interlocutory injunction, which would last pending a full trial.

All I know is that Morleigh and the kids have been spending time in their Los Angeles home with the Steinberg family since the beginning of the tour.

I hope she is doing well.

Which brings me a question... is Morleigh American-born? Or is she from somewheres else?

Best wishes to Edge's family as well.

I didn't mean to hear anything about this, but a particularly obnoxious fan in my GA line said it was anemia. It can obviously be serious, but *I think* not so bad as leukemia.
*hoping, anyway*

Morleigh was born and raised in Los Angeles, to Bob and Sasha Steinberg, and Bob is a Los Angeles-based attorney.

As I understand it, Sian had leukemia and was getting treated in Dublin for it. Fortunately the recovery chances for this illness are excellent, and the fact that Edge is able to go out on tour shows that his little girl is probably going to be fine, she may have to get through some difficult treatment, however.

Sian is currently in Los Angeles at this very moment. Perhaps she is not getting treatment in Dublin or she is getting treated by a Los Angeles specialist.

Perhaps, she is better and not getting treatment at all, due to our thousands of prayers each day?

I couldn't register because it claimed my e-mail addy was already in their database. Strange, I don't remember registering.

Oh, yeah, I read where Sian was getting treated in LA. I think previously she did get some treatment in Dublin, or maybe I'm too gullible about what I read in the press.

A classmate of mine died of leukemia when we were in tenth grade. Through summer she kept telling her parents she wasn't feeling alright - and they were both doctors - but they just shrugged it off and said it was probably just hormonal.

When they finally took her to the Dr. it was too late for her to get proper treatment.

That case always made me somehow more interested about leukemia. I'm guessing Sian not only has the means but she probaly had it diagnosed earlier.

Still, prayers go out to the entire family.

That's sad! Fortunatelly I don't know someone personally who's got leukemia but I am donating to the Jose Carreras Leukemia fond. It's very big in Germany and every christmas the people donate over 6 Mio. Euros! Which is amacing and I think the highest amount of a reagularly fond raising.
As a few may know, he also had Leukemia and he fonded this (Stiftung-sorry, don't know the english expression) for raising money.... and he is always very touched and emotional when little children are shown who are fighting against this illness.
Unfortunatelly from time to time you hear the next year that one of the kids died but a lot are becoming health again..... That's a good thing to hear and see those kids laughing and playing again. And hopefully Sian will be one of them!
All my prayers....

Ohhhhh.. I hope she's getting better!! Anyway, she must be, otherwise, as u say, Edge wouldn't be on tour...  If that is so, GR8 THEN!!! :)

Funny, I just happened to mention this name to my cousin (who is an attorney here in LA) and he said he knows Bob Steinberg!!
been in the court houses with him!....what quinky-dink!...
When he asked me why I asked, I just left it at that cause then I would have to explain my whole U2 journey, and frankly I know Id bore him to death!

I hate to open a can of worms...
But since she is American, and her dad is a well-known attorney, anyone ever tried looking her digits up and stuff?

Just curious if anyone has....but I'm not suggesting it.

Could we please not give anyone any ideas?

I had no idea about that information, I am sure a lot of people didn't either. I am pretty sure 99% of the people that read this would not do anything about it, but then we only need one weirdo to go ahead and do this.... :tsk:
