This is the word "freak" in an older meaning of "fan", i.e, an "Edge freak" is simply someone who really loves Edge. It's not a term of derision. In other, more recent contexts maybe it is, but this sort of usage is sort of a leftover from the '60's.
 
It wasn't meant to be malicious.

Honestly speaking, I am an Edge freak, but for completely different reasons that you guys have. :wink:

He inspired me to play guitar, and remains my guitar idol. :bow: :edge:
