My daughter said she feels like a piece of her childhood died.

I totally understand that. It really does feel like that....I haven't told my kids as they are about to go to bed, I'll wait until morning. He was such a legend here in NZ as he was around the world. It was awesome and inspiring to see someone with such a natural high voltage passion for something and not be afraid to stand on rooftops and yell about it!!!

Poor Steve, I was most shocked when I just saw it on the news. It's such a shame, I thought he was pretty awesome and so brave in the face of the danger he worked with.
