 That security guy was so annoying. I honestly can't understand how security can always manage to look so bored during concerts. This guy was practically picking his nose while Bono stood right behind him.

The one time Larry came by he moved so fast, I can't believe I managed to snap this one!

Thanks Lynn!!!

And yeah it was amazing to be so close!! I would never have been able to do it if it weren't for the generous and smart security people at the Garden, where fans are allowed to get a wristband early in the morning and can leave for the day. I would never have been able to stay out all day in line like I did 4 years ago. Garden:up:
The policy is great, and the people running the line are awesome for sticking with the unofficial number system.

I'll have a few pictures soon! :D

Bono stopped to fix his headband right in front of me. Oh yeah, I came very close to passing out.

Adam was adorable posing for photos. He looked over at me after I took this and sort of gave me a little nod. Eep.

Someone had a sign that said "REDHEADS STILL <3 ADAM" or something along those lines. He seemed to like that.

And that's it. Geez, I didn't know I had that many. Sorry about that! I'm just so excited about having been that close to them. I never expected that to happen.

My ears are still ringing!

Nice photos! I wish I'd been able to go Tuesday as well as Monday. Especially since the guys stopped outside on Tuesday. They evidently finally arrived Monday about a minute after we'd left, but just waved and drove on in.

Glad you like them! I can't believe they came out so well, I was jumping around and shaking so much!

I've got a Kodak Easyshare something or other. Just a cheap digital camera, but I used the "sport" setting and that seemed to work well.

Mine too, and my throat is still sore and my voice has seen better days- just the sign of two beautiful nights.

My arm is in some of your pictures; i'm to the right of the guy in the black t-shirt who was dead center on the outer ellipse! :hyper:

Here are mine from Tuesday. We started the day by waiting for the guys to come in for souncheck. We passed a few hours making a new friend who actually lives near where I work and came and found me today. :shifty: Anyway...pics!

:lmao: The vehicle in the background is the lovely Boston Duck Tour. The ramp into the Garden is off a backroad that a Duck Tour drives past every ten minutes. We became a site on the Duck Tour for two days. :shifty: The drivers started pointing us out to people and made the tourists yell "Quack Quack!" Everytime they'd go by, the drivers would yell, "Are you STILL waiting for Bono??" and finally Bono was a site on the Duck Tour!

Anyone who got a purple Bono autograph on Tuesday...that was my Sharpie. I handed it to him for my ATYCLB sleeve to avoid the ballpoint pen issues I had in Minneapolis, and he made off with it and I didn't get it back.

I LOVE when Edge goes crazy in Electric Co...one of my favorite moments in the whole show!

A few of the screens during 40. The band ended the show early- looks like it was mostly orchestrated by Bono, b/c Edge and Adam were very confused and Adam was never able to get Edge's guitar working correctly for 40. The setlist called for OOTS & Bad to be played, but Bono went from ABOY -> 40. As a matter of fact, Bono motioned for the band to end much earlier in 40 than they did- they totally missed his cue and he looked pretty frustrated. My friend in the ellipse said she thought he was pretty tired. They could also have ended early b/c they had to take the stage apart b/c the Garden is hosting the Bruins opener tonight (the day after). The set had to be taken down immediately, and in fact crew was going around with a drill taking it apart before the band was off stage!!

:hmm:
Very interesting!
Thanks for telling this.

And awesome pictures every-one!
:applaud:
I  them all.

For me too. I took my 12 year old daughter to the concert, let her cut school early in the morning so we could get our wristbands, then we came back after school. Much better than waiting in line all day. The Garden rocks :)

If anyone's inclined to drop a kind word for the excellent Garden security, I'm pasting the relevant addresses below.
The head of security who runs the GA line and keeps order, created and follows the wristband numbers and policy is Jeff Mann.

Thanks for the pictures everyone!

Someone needs to tell poor Edge that he shouldn't wear a white belt with all black clothes. :giggle:

Thanks oliveu2cm!!! My friends and I have commented on how wonderful he was. There was a sharp shirted man that cut the official line and Jeff quickly stepped in and asked him if he had a number  It was great!! He sent the man packing to the back of the line. Jeff was so organized and ran it smoothly!

I was wondering if that's a regular belt or something to hold the transmitters or whatever for the mics and amps? But it's funny you say that, because the Keane singer and crazy pianist both had black clothes with definite wide white belts on; their shirts were tucked in, and it looked...odd.
