Bono's scar on his chin...?

You all know what I mean. But ive wondered for ages how he got it?
Im sure I read somewhere about him slipping and falling and cutting his chin open onstage in the 80's? That would explain why I havent been able to see it on any pics of him from Boy-UF days.

Anyone know for sure how it may have happened?

Yes he fell off the stage in 1987 and cut it on his BTBS spotlight.

During one interview Bono was talking to Dave Fanning in Italy, I had a cut just here (points to chin) and if I was in Duran Duran I'm sure they'd throw me out of the band! He then lifts a bottle of wine and takes a slug, been drinking macari all my life!

He fell in Tempe AZ, hey jesse2u, at the ASU Athletic Center, the day before the JT tour was to start (4/1/87). He lost his voice that day too.

It's difficult to see sometimes, lately anyway...when he's got his unshaven, scruffy look on!
