Bono has a few red guitars... and lots of truth.

The acoustic one that has been listed in pictures is more of a orange-ish colour. It is a Gibson Hummingbird. A favorite of Bono's, he's a few of these.

The red Gibson 335 was used during The Joshua Tree and Love Town tours but since lost favor to Gibson 175 models (he had the black during ZOO, blue sparkle and a red sparkle during POPMART and the red during Elevation - which brings us to...

...Oakland (2) in Nov 2001 when Bono killed the red sparkle Gibson ES175. He was having issues with it during the show. Frasier (his then tech) came out to try to fix the situation but to no avail... at the end of I Will Follow Bono took the guitar off and slammed it against the corner of the drum riser. If you listen to the bookleg of the show... Bono apologises for his anger a few songs later.

While I heard that Gibson's repair shop DID fix the gaping hole in the guitar body, I've not seen him use it nor seen piccies of it in studio photos.
