" We're good at performance videos. But it's not easy for us to make
videos. We're not very telegenic. But I love to get the chance to
do something creative, like the video we did for [the new single]
''Electrical Storm.'' It's extraordinary: Larry walks out of the
sea carrying a TV set, goes back into the sea and comes out with
a suitcase, goes back and pulls out a bathtub. It's these bits and
pieces of a life that's come apart. Then he walks out with a mermaid
-- and it's Samantha Morton, a really brilliant young actress. She
really worked on an emotional level for the clip. ''She's not acting,''
Larry kept saying. ''She just bursts into tears and starts screaming
at me.'' It really turned Larry's head around.

The other thing about ''Electrical Storm'' is that it was shot in
front of my house in France. There were all these kids looking over
the wall, including Larry's kids going ''What's Daddy doing in a
bathtub with that girl?'' This is the only video we've ever done, by
the way, where Larry had to get up at six in the morning to shoot --
and he didn't complain."

(from an interview for Rolling Stone, apparently it also comes with pictures! if anyone can scan the pics for us PLEBA girls, we would love you forever!)

I haven't gotten out to buy the ish yet, but there is an online link
here.

The pix aren't rendered that well, but Bono's comments are illuminating.

What a band.
